The "Connect to Outlook" feature is a great feature to synchronize Outlook 2007 and Sharepoint 2007. It allows showing events created from Sharepoint calendars in Outlook. But for me, there are some limitations that really blocked some users of using Sharepoint calendar:
- even if users can detect manually conflicts in outlook between sharepoint events and their own events of their own Outlook calendar, there is no automatic alert.
- when creating events from Sharepoint, users cannot invit attendees
- if users have already created an event into their own outlook calendar, their is no way to publish it to Sharepoint
Actually I would like to know if Sharepoint 2010 and Outlook 2010 will improve these points.
