How can i create a custom project center web part ?

I have an excel pivot table like this:
Report Filter: Project ID
I have this workbook published onto Sharepoint server through excel services.
On the site i have a choice filter that has all the project ID's. I am able to show this table in a web part and filter the web part by passing parameter from the choice filter to the report filter in the workbook as shown above.
I added a KPI webpart that uses the "status" from the above table as its indicator value. What I want to do is that I want to pass the parameter from the choice filter on the site to this KPI web part so that it will show me the corresponding status dynamically
accoring to the project chosen.
Can someone help me solve this problem?
I am very much confused and need a precise answer. I want to know whether to create and use the site created by the
'Reports Center' template under 'Enterprise' tab template section requires SharePoint 2010 ECALS/Enterprise Server? When I go thru the following urls I found that it really needs ECALS/Enterprise server. I could not find any information on
this from microsoft web site. Please assist. Thank you
