I have a fairly complex SharePoint Designer 2007
Data View they have added two more requirements.
1. Have the columns on the right side be able to scroll left to right as there is a large number of columns, while the first 3 columns on the left side stay locked in place. This is only one list not two, and because of some other requirements
I have it must remain to be just one list.
2. Then they also need to have scrolling up and down of the entire list with the headers locked in place.
The first requirement is more important than the second, but preferrably I need to do both.
I am new to XSL so not familar with the syntax. Is this something I can do on a custom Data View? Does anyone have any examples of how?
I have a drawing that show how it needs to look but I don't see an option here to upload a graphic.
So here is a link to my graphic example uploaded to my blog area: http://lindachapman.blogspot.com/ or just the image here: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_aB01ue__NvQ/TGL42MOvrGI/AAAAAAAAAA4/c3xP4uCy4BU/s1600/Scrolling.png

We've created an ItemUpdating EventReceiver that sets various properties (columns in the library) on the document based on user selections in a couple other properties. This code works fine and for all file formats in a Windows 2003 Server/MOSS 2007
In a Windows 2008/MOSS 2007 environment, however, when we upload MS Office 2007 documents (e.g. docx, xlsx, pptx) these updates are not made. What's interesting is that the code does actually execute (we've compared logging statements for non-MS
Office 2007 files to MS Office 2007 files, and all settings being equal, the code executes exactly the same way on both files, but when the library list view is refreshed, the pre-MS Office 2007 document HAS the values, but the MS Office 2007 documents do
Anyone have any idea why this code is not able to "commit" the values to the documents? Again, the code works fine (per our logging output), it's just that the values do "not take".....Is there something in the Windows 2008/MOSS 2007/Office 2007 "integration"
that might be interferring or that would prevent values form being updated?
Environment : SharePoint 2010 Enterprise version, using regular search and NOT Fast Search

I have a 2010 Record Center. Indexing and search functions seem to be working. However, searching dates does not produce results. The date column is marked for indexing. Crawling is working and I do get other text type results.
I have tried switching the column to Date
& Time in the detailed column settings. With or withouth the time, it does not come up in the results.
There is an interesting twist. On SOME, the search returns the AllItems.aspx PAGE (not the document or list item itself) that it resides on with the searched date highlighted in the result item description.
I have created a simple list with a "Choice" column, i have three entries in my dropdown

I would like to customize the "new" form on a SharePoint list that has some columns that use managed metadata term sets as options. Unfortunately, when I do so, I get the message:
"InfoPath cannot generate a form template for the SharePoint list."
The following fields in the SHarePoint list are not supported because of their data type and will not be available in InfoPath Designer:
This error message seems to be pretty self explanatory, but it boggles my mind that this would be the case. Can I really not customize my list "new" form in Infopath if I am using columns with managed metadata? Any workarounds?
