today I created a new PageLayout from ArticelLeft as source.

Now I have two questions about PageLayouts:

1.) Is it possible to get more than one page content (RichHtmlField) in a layout page. If I created a second one, it got the same FieldName and the contend is also the same ?

2.) Is is possible to fill some content at designtime into a RichHtml Field in a page layout (for example an empty table) ?

Thanx and regards

Issue with custom Redirect PageLayout

Hi, I have duplicated RedirectPageLayout.aspx to create custom redirect page layout. In my custom redirect page layout, i have linked my custom content type.  From my root website, when I try to create redirect page from my custom redirect page layout, in a edit mode it shows Redirect URL control to get the URL to redirect. But from any sub site, when I try to create redirect page from my custom redirect page layout, in a edit mode it doesn't show "Redirect URL" control to get the URL to redirect. Please let me know about how to fix this. or let me know some alternative way to do it. Regards, Prakashwww.aristonsoft.com - .net 3.5 hosting provider in India

How to make footer section stay below the pagelayout?

Hi. I have a branded site with a top menu section and a similar footer section(33x900px). When I add text in a page and the taxt goes on below the end of the screen, the footer stays at the bottom of the screen and hides part of the text. How can I make it stay at the bottom dynamically? Always below the last line of text below the end of the screen if needed? I have a DIV for the footer section with it's own class so if I just have the correct format, It should be easy to do right? Example: see the 'earthy' footer on Drisgills blog http://blog.drisgill.com/ Thats what I want.   ThanksThomas BalkestÃ¥hl - Technical Specialist - SharePoint

SiteColumns--->Content Type--->PageLayout

Hi Guys, Recently I have started working on Public Facing site in Sharepoint 2010 so in order to create Page layouts first i have created Site Columns then content type and then Page layout based on content type. I have developed all elements using visual studio 2010 and CAML.So far looks everything good. Now lets say i have to modify one of the site column and deploy it will it make this change to all Content types which have reference to this column and to the page layout ? Is there any best Practice for this ? Please advise me Thanks Ron
