Can not figure out LDAP naming convention for AD Application Mode login

I am trying to configure Oracle Access Manager (OAM) with AD application mode (ADAM). I am being prompted for the administrator (root DN) LDAP login for the ADAM instance, and nothing I try works. I know the administrator account in ADAM, and when I installed ADAM I used this info for the partition information, CN=accessmanager, DC=devnet, DC=local , the local admin account is devadmin, which is in the administrators container. My question is, what should the LDAP naming convention I should use for devadmin ? Oracle's example is (cn=administrator,o=company,c=us), but nothing I tried seems to allow OAM to access the ADAM installation. The obvious CN=devadmin,DC=devnet,DC=local does not work. Thanks in advance, John

Policy Management - Use of ExecuteSQL() for Index facet to define naming convention policy

I am trying to define an advanced policy involving use of executeSql() function and @@SchemaName, @@ObjectName parameters. It is related to non-clustered index naming convention and as such I am making use of 'Index' facet.  I have defined policies for tables and procedures and I have successfully used executesql with @@SchemaName and @@ObjectName parameters. However, when I run Index policy I get the following error;

TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio

Exception encountered while executing policy 'CompanyName - Index - Naming Convention'.

Unique naming convention

I've seen many posts on this topic. Unfortunately I haven't found a solution for a very specific naming convention that I'm hoping there is a solution for. Codeless perferably but either way. The naming convention is as such    H3-RFR-KED-MRC-1

The H3-RFR- is static. The "KED" & "MRC" are both pulled from 2 seperate drop down lists in the form which describe the path of a workflow. The "1" is the @ID, looked up from the sharepoint site. The issue I have is number increases sequentialy, regardlessof the path. Ideally I'd like the naming to follow as such . . .

Where each new 'path' combination would start at 1, but if the path is not unique the number increases by the max total of that combination +1. Is this at all possible? if so can someone point out where I can find that solution.

I'm designing report using SSRS 2008. How can i pass date as parameter ? I tried to setup @from and @to as parameter but not working ?

WHERE ( {[Date Central].[Calendar Date].[@From]:[Date Central].[Calendar Date].[@To]} )

How to change text in columns in SSRS?

I need to create a complex report and export it to Excel.

In the first column header, text is displayed as "Hide Daily Columns", but I need the text to change as "Unhide Daily columns" when I click on it and when the text changes the columns under "daily" header (I have 3 columns under this header) present in the report shud be hidden and only weekly columns shud be visible. Any ideas please. I am new to SSRS and tried out many ways but didn't get it.

Is Conditional Subscription possible in SSRS 2005?

Hi Guys,

Is there a way to set up a subscription that will send e-mails based on the contents of a report? For example, I want to schedule a daily subscription that will only send an e-mail if the report contains data, otherwise it will do nothing for that day. i.e If the report has more than one row, it should send the mail otherwise it should not send the mail.....

Is it possible in SSRS 2005 or is there any other way to do it???

SSRS 2005 "Mixed" Authentication Mode

I have a web application where users can authenticate using either SiteMinder or Windows domain accounts.  This is actually configured as two separate virtual directories within IIS 6.  Both applications need to use the same instance of SSRS.  Is it possible to configure the SSRS web application so that if a user is authenticated by SiteMinder it impersonates a Windows account, but if they are already Windows-authenticated that account is used instead?

SSRS 2008 R2 and sharepoint 2007 report builder problems

I upgraded our enterprise sql server 2008 to sql server 2008 r2 last weekend.  Along with this i installed the report builder 3.0 on the servers as well and the updated ssrs add in for sharepoint.  The upgrade went fine, no errors that i could find.  The problem is now when i go to a library that has the report builder content type enabled and click report builder report under new it does not load report builder 3.0.

I updated the custom report builder url in central administration from /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_2_0_0_0.application to /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_3_0_0_0.application

however when i do click the new report builder report it kicks me over to http://company.com/ReportServer_MossEnt  which itemizes out each individual sharepoint site in the farm.

Is the integration of ssrs 2008 r2, sharepoint 2007 and report builder 3.0 work?  did i install the wrong version of the report builder add in?  The above is the only problem i am having now.

all servers are server 2008, 64 bit and moss 2007 enterprise with sp2 & april 2010 cu

SQL 2008 servers and MOSS 2007 with SSRS

I need help figuring out the limitations in a multi-database server environment and MOSS 2007 installation with SSRS.  Here is the run down:

  • I currently have MOSS 2007 server with backend on SQL 2005, which also acts as the SSRS server.  In addition I have another SQL 2005 server where business data resides and against which most of the SSRS reports run.
  • Future plan (over which I don't really have a say) is MOSS 2007 with backend on SQL 2008, which will remain to be the SSRS server.  The second SQL server with business data will be migrated to SQL 2008 R2.

Questions: does this architecture requires SSRS 2008 add-in or SSRS 2008 R2 add-in (integrated mode)?  Will there be an issue of building SSRS 2008 reports that go after SQL 2008 R2 and SQL 2008 data mix?

Share Point integrated SSRS reports rendering when access from external site

Our client has a SharePoint (moss2007) site on Windows 2008, SQL2008 R2 Enterprise, and Reporting service is integrated with SharePoint

The authentication on the share point integration is set to windows, else the authentication for the SSAS datasource gives and error

The extranet zone ( forms) and intranet (Customer Forms) and default (Windows) zones are all access from inside the firewall and the reports render in each with no issues, as the datasources are configured to pass a sql username and password.

However, report rendering is a problem from the internet (external site), the following error is displayed:

An unexpected error occurred while connecting to the report server. Verify that the report server is avai

SSRS Report viewer + Remove

MOSS 07 Installation Quirks - SSRS Connectivity & SSP Permissions

I'm new to MOSS 07 and am currently learning it.  I've done clean installs and post-install configuration a few times now and I've noticed 2 quirks associated with a fresh install.  I'm not sure what is going on or the best way to "fix" them.

1 - I install SQL 05 with SSRS prior to installing MOSS and I always check to make sure that SSRS is configured and I can connect to it in the SQL Management Studio.  Once the Default port 80 Web App is provisioned, however, I can no longer connect to SSRS via the SQL MS.  I understand that this is related to the fact that the default Web App that hosts the SSRS sites is the Default 80 Web Site and that this port is taken over by the SharePoint 80 portal.  My question is, how to handle this.  I understand that I can configure SSRS to run via SP Integration.  However, when I install SSRS 05 initially and prior to installing/configuring MOSS, should SSRS be installed under a separate Web App and Port than the Default?  Does SP Integration restore the ability to connect to SSRS via the SQL Mang. Studio?

2 - In an attempt to get used to a "production" way of doing things, I create Domain Service accounts for both installing MOSS and running the services.  My problem is with the results of using an installation account.  I call it "spinsta
