If I have the 'ExecutionInstanceGUID' value for an SSIS package that I know was started, is there a way that a stored procedure can programmatically determine whether the SSIS package still is running?

We are using SSIS 2005 and sql server 2005. My package has a boolean type package level variable. Eg: IsClientNull boolean type.
I call this package from stored procedure. In addition to passing values for other parameters, how can I pass boolean value.
My code is like this:
SET @CMD='dtexec ' +
'/FILE ' + @pShareName + @pPackageName + ' ' +
'/MAXCONCURRENT " -1 " ' +
'/CHECKPOINTING OFF ' +
'/REPORTING EW ' +
'/SET "\Package.Variables[User::StartDate].Properties[Value]";' +
CONVERT(char(10), @pStartDate, 120) + ' ' +
'/SET "\Package.Variables[User::EndDate].Properties[Value]";' +
CONVERT(char(10), @pEndDate, 120)
IF (@pClient IS NULL)
SET @CMD = @CMD + ' ' +
'/SET "\Package.Variables[User::IsClientNull].Properties[Value]";' +
I am getting an error while executing a SSIS Package from SQL Server Stored Procedure. But when I run it in BIDS, it executes successfully. Any help on this ???

We have a SQL Agent job that runs a stored procedure. Is it possible for the stored procedure to programmatically determine the name of the SQL Agent job that executed it? (Without the agent job passing its name to the procedure through
a parameter.) How would you do it?
I have a stored procedure insertXXX that has one OUTPUT parameter of type numeric. The stored procedure looks like:
PROCEDURE [dbo].[insertIntoTable]@outputID AS numeric OUTPUT
Hello Every One,
I have a scenario in which i am executing a Stored Procedure which returned a result set.
I want to create a Excel file [name_date_time] dynamically, and fill result set data into Excel file. And then finally sent Excel file to Specific user[Email ID].
Point is that the excel file should have unique name so i want to give name as name_date_time.
So every time when package run new file is created with unique name.
Can any one suggest me who to create Excel file and fill result set data into Excel file.
And then finally send that Excel file ?
I developed a ssis package and deployed to the MSDB location of the SQL server2005 server.
I developed a vb.net application and calling the SSIS package.
Its working fine and executing the package.
Right now in my system SQL server 2005 is installed.
When I am executing the same application from the system in which SQL server environment is not there I am getting error.
What should I need to do If I want to run the same application from the system which don't have any SQL server environment.
Thanks in advance.
We have tried to run a SQL job for SSIS Package. But it failed during the execution with the error " The Messenger service has not been started - NetSend notifications will not be sent". But in the job, no notifications have been configured and in windows
server 2008/Windows-7 there is no messenger service at all.
When we search for the the messenger service in windows 7/windows server 2008, we found that service is not in both the OS and it was replaced by msg.exe.
Any help or workaround would be appreciated.
PS: The normal SQL jobs other than SSIS are working fine without any error.
