Creating a datasource in SharePoint 2010

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 29, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint

I have SharePoint Foundation 2010 installed on one server and SQL Server 2008 installed on a separate server with Reporting Services set up.  I was able to successfully activate the SharePoint Reporting Services integration using the Central Administration tool.  SharePoint is set up with NTLM.

I am trying to create a datasource but every time I test the connection I get the following message: Specified method is not supported.    I have tried using Windows Authentication (I am logged in as a domain admin which has rights to all the databases on SQL Server), I have tried using a trusted account, but none of it works.  I did find a link from the msdn article describing how to create datasources which says to make sure the SecureConnection value in the rsreportserver.config file was set to 0 (not 2).  But this was already correct.

In addition, when I select new document in the sharepoint library and select report builder report it just opens to a web page with the directory of the report.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
