Crawler fails to register date properties of user profiles with the month of January, April, August

This seems to be a bug when the crawler search the user profiles in MOSS 2007.  When crawled, user profiles with a SPS-HireDate in the months of January, April, August and December will be detected, but a full-text (SQL) search returns those profiles without the HireDate field.

User profiles with HireDates in other months work correctly, returning the HireDate in the search.  And changing the month of a problematic user profile also fixes the problem.

This problem is also reflected in the fact that while we have 499 user profiles using the SPS-HireDate property,  the managed property page from the search section only has 350 items with the HireDate property.

We're running MOSS 2007 32bit with SP2 with an English language base and the Spanish language pack. I'd considered date format problems, but I can't imagine how some months would work, while others wouldn't.

Any ideas?

I'm wondering if there is any way I can register a service type without attaching the source assembly to the host process. When I register the service type, the source assembly (which has the type) cannot be written.   I appreciate your attention..

How can I register a name for a control that is an ItemsControl child?

Hello, How can I register a name for a control that is an ItemsControl child? When I create the controls dynamically in code, the RegisterName works just fine.  However, when those same controls are created by the ItemsControl XAML, RegisterName does not work. Here is the XAML which correctly generates what I want: <Canvas Name="Tab_CanvasTabs"> <Canvas.Resources> <local:CategoryTabs x:Key="myTabs" /> </Canvas.Resources> <ItemsControl Name="Tab_ItemsControl" ItemsSource="{Binding Source={StaticResource myTabs}}"> <ItemsControl.Template> <ControlTemplate TargetType="ItemsControl"> <ItemsPresenter /> </ControlTemplate> </ItemsControl.Template> <ItemsControl.ItemsPanel> <ItemsPanelTemplate> <Canvas /> </ItemsPanelTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemsPanel> <ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <DataTemplate.Resources> </DataTemplate.Resources> <Canvas Name="Tab_Canvas_X" Tag="{Binding Path=Number}" MouseLeftButtonDown="Event_CategoryTab_Canvas_MouseLeftButtonDown" MouseLeftButtonUp="Event

Health Analyzer reports "Product / patch installation or server upgrade required." and I can't seem

The text of the error is: On server SHAREPOINTSERVER, once all required products and/or patches are installed, perform an upgrade by either running PSConfigUI.exe or by executing the command "PSConfig.exe -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -force -cmd applicationcontent -install -cmd installfeatures". If a former upgrade attempt has failed, you may need to resolve upgrade specific issues before attempting upgrade again. Refer to the upgrade status page (http://sharepointserver:XXXX/_admin/UpgradeStatus.aspx) for information about current and prior upgrade attempts, and to determine issues that may be preventing upgrade from succeeding. For more information about this rule, see "http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=142700". So I went to the server in question and ran the command line quoted in the error message and then I get this error back: Configuration of SharePoint Products failed. Configuration must be performed before you use SharePoint Products. For further details, see the diagnostic log located at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\1 4\LOGS\PSCDiagnostics_....log and the application event log. So fine, I look into the event log and get this: Failed to initiate the upgrade sequence. An exception of type System.IO.IOException was thrown. Additional exception information: Access to the path 'C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\SharePoi

SSRS Product bug on hyperlinks with StoredParametersID

SSRS  - Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Version 9.00.4309.00   Problem - When a SSRS report contains a hyperlink, and the hyperlink action is 'jump to a report', and some existing report parameters are passed through, the hyperlinked report will not receive those parameters if SSRS persists them in the database and creates the hyperlinks using StoredParametersID instead of the actual parameters.  This persistence happens only when the initial report is called and the total length of all parameters exceeds some maximum string length.  In my case, I have 14 parameters and one of them is a string used as a multi-value parameter.  The string is passed through to the stored procedure where it is parsed.  If I choose about 20 of the values, each one a guid, it will cause SSRS to change the way it creates the hyperlinks, and will persist the parameters as described above. The hyperlink will contain "StoredParametersID={key}".  In my configurationInfo table, I have StoredParametersLifetime = 180 (days) and StoredParametersThreshold = 1500 (number of params).  I can see the stored parameters in the StoredParametersInstance table, although I cant inspect the parameter values because they are stored as binary data in an image type column, and are not human readable.  So I believe there is a bug in the way SSRS han

dynamically add control or register and set visibility

I have a classic asp website that I would like to convert to asp.net. The application is structured such that there is one central page that uses "server.execute" to call a page template and the template uses "server.execute" to call the page functionality. I am thinking that I will create a single asp.net page that sits alongside the current page. I can then slowly convert existing page functionality to usercontrols and add a little logic to redirect to the apropriate page based on the requested page functionality. Should I dynamically add the usercontrol to the page for the page functionality or should I register each control on the page and dynamically change the visibility? We don't add new functionality or update the exisiting functionality very often. Most changes are to the content stored in the database used by the pages.

Unable to enter the product key in the Convert License Type page (textbox is read-only)

We installed both WSS and MOSS SP2 and had planned to follow the manual fix for the known issue that the patch unexpectedly activates a trial expiration.  However, the textbox to enter the product key is read-only.  We have tried accessing this page using the normal administrator credentials as well as the farm account; no success. The SP2 issue and manual fix is detailed here, http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/971620We were able to experience this problem on a farm running the Feb 2007 cummulative patch (version so it's not related to the SP.  But running the SP increasing the need to find the fix.Any help is appreciated,J.
