Web Farms: Use Data Caching Techniques to Boost Performance and Ensure Synchronization

Performance is an important concern for any application, but becomes critical when the app is a Web Service accessed by thousands of clients simultaneously. One hardware approach to distributing Web Services requests evenly is a Web farm consisting of multiple servers. Once on a Web farm, Web Service performance can be improved by using ADO.NET DataSet objects to cache frequently accessed data, reducing round-trips to the database. Here the author describes data caching in a Web farm environment and discusses how to avoid the cross-server synchronization problems inherent in this approach.

Caching in WCF Data Services on Azure

I want to enable output caching in my OData service on Azure but I can't get it to work. It doesn't even have to be Velocity or any other distributed caching provider. I just want simple output caching. It can be as simple as the one Scott is talking about over here. I haven't got that example to work though and it seems that other ppl commenting on his article have the same problem as me: getting fresh data all the time. Please guide me

 How to set Cach refersh option for a SSRS report that using SSAS cube to bind data 

when i tried to store credential in data source getting error as show below 

"Non-Windows user credentials were supplied for a non-http connection to Analysis Services. The Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services data extension requires Windows Integrated Security unless connecting via http or https."





Re creating indexes while data load - Performance Consideration



In the ETL design we have followed drop index before data load and recreate it after load. But looks like this approach is time consuming.

Is there any better data load design approach? Will table partition solve this problem?
