Hi All,

We use a MOSS farm Ent SP2, the RMS is not configured and we don't use it, but sometimes the following error appears:

Information Rights Management (IRM): There was a problem when trying to find the enterprise Rights Management Services (RMS) server.

There was no enterprise server registered.

Additional Data

I have checked in the Central Admin and RMS is not confugred , how I can avoid this message?

Thank you,

Event Handle & Declared Message Errors

Hi Experts: There is a missing event Handle that requires a variable found in the button code . Secondly,  there is a Name declared error (i.e., Name 'First' is not declared, Name 'Last' is not declared, Name 'City' is not declared, Name 'State' is not declared) found in the page code. How do we revise the codes to remove the message errors? Go to the following URL link to view 'High Res' screen shots at http://cforedu.com/screen.pdf Here is the page code:<%@ Page Language="VB" %> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head id="Head1" runat="server"> <title></title> <script runat="server"> Protected Sub Save(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Dim First As TextBox = TryCast(Me.fvApplication.FindControl("First"), TextBox) Dim Last As TextBox = TryCast(Me.fvApplication.FindControl("Last"), TextBox) Dim City As TextBox = TryCast(Me.fvApplication.FindControl("City"), TextBox) Dim State As TextBox = TryCast(Me.fvApplication.FindControl("State"), TextBox) End Sub </script> </head> <body> <form id="form1" runat="server"> <div> <asp:FormView runat="server" ID="fvApplicatio

net.tcp message formating errors Message.GetBody

Man! I have been trying to figure this one out... but with no luck. In the end, all i am trying to do is notify the client with the payload being an object graph more complex than a simple value type.

I am getting an error when using the GetBody method of the message object.

Web form shows error message even when there is no errors!

Hi there,

I'm new to c# and I seem to be having a problem with an error message. If my textbox is left empty my code will throw a format exception and display the message in a label. If I then add a number to the textbox it runs correctly but the error message remains.

Any idea what am I doing wrong?

protected void btnTemp_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
            float temperature;

                temperature = float.Parse(txtTemp.Text);

                if (temperature < 15)
                    lblHotCold.Text = "COLD!";
                    lblHotCold.BackColor = Color.Blue;
                else if (temperature > 15 || temperature == 15)
                    lblHotCold.Text = "HOT!";
                    lblHotCold.BackColor = Color.Red;
            catch (FormatException)
                lblErrorMsg.Text = "Textbox can't be left empty";

Cheers Smile

AJAX in MOSS 2007

These days implementing AJAX in sharepoint has become a important request for share point applications.

Here i'm explaining how to create and deploy a AJnAX webpart in step by step manner

Master Pages in MOSS 2007

'MasterPages' feature in sharepoint 2007 makes the entire customization job easy.In 2003 we used to face lot of issues to get the same look and feel and the standard behaviour for overall site. In 2007, customizing the look and feel for the entire site can be done in a simple way by using 'MasterPage' feature.

Content Types in MOSS 2007

In this article I will try to describe the one of the best feature in Microsoft office Share Point 2007 called Content Types.

Content types are simply collection of contents.Each content in a Content type can have different settings.Basically it is a reusable collection of settings which you want to apply to a particular category of contents.

Inserting personal error message in ValidationSummary

I am creating a web form that requires a lot of validation. I use many of the validation control in asp.net already like RequiredFieldValidator and CompareValidator.

My Problem: after my custom validation for the value entered return an error message, and I pressed enter key when the field is empty, my custom error message is overlapped by my ValidationSummary.

Setting my custom error to visible = false on button click also does not seem to work as it requires for me to enter the value first.

This made me think, is there a way to insert my custom validation inside the ValidationSummary as an error message like for other validation control?

Thanks in advance

UpdatePanel is not a known element - message when upgrading to 1.0 ajax

It worked on one of my old pages.  I change the web.config, renamed all the <asp.

On some aspx page it doesn't recognize the updatepanel.  It only does on one page.  If I create a new aspx page with a different name - then it works.

Should I just create a new web project ajax - then copy all my code into there?  Or is there a way to get those old pages to recognize the new ajax controls?

replacing ok and cancel button of an alert message with YES an NO button in asp.net web application.

i want to replace ok and cancel button of an alert message with YES an NO button in asp.net web application.When a user will click yes the data will be saved in the database and if user clicks that will act as a reset button and do not save the data in database and the control will move with as usual to the redirect page.Any pointers will be highly appreciated.I am usin g C# language.

How can I be sure that my entire project is up-to-date and free of errors in VS2010?

Seems like a stupid question, but I will go to Build > Build Solution many many times and the build will succeed many many times, then I will put in a minor syntax error and the build will fail, BUT the build will not fail because of the minor syntax error; it will fail because of an unresolved type that I put in about twenty compiles ago. And then I will fix the minor syntax eror, and the compiler will still complain about the unresolved type. Here is my code:

<%@ Register TagPrefix="FTB" Namespace="FreeTextBoxControls" Assembly="FreeTextBox" %>
  <form runat="server">
  Hello World!!

Pretty simple, really. I go to Buld > Build WebApplication1 and it runs OK. Now, if I put in a minor syntax error, such as substitute "forrrrrrrm" for "form" and then try to Build Solution, it complains not about the misspelled word, but about the FreeTextBox. And then if I correct the misspelled wird, it still complains about the FreeTextBox. Which leads me to believe that Building the Solution does not check absolutely 100% everything that needs to be checked. Is there a more thorough way of compiling a program that I need to use?

create user wizard login error message dont show in a message box?

i am using create user wizard and capturing other information within content template when a new user

registers. Some of the textboxes are binded to required field validators.

there is a validation control on the page and ShowMessage box is True.

If they dont complete some of the text boxes then the message box pops Up with the error message.

It does not however include information errors like "User already exists" or Email address already exists

from the create user wizard membership  UserName and Password Textboxes

is it possilbe to hook all of these up so I get one message box with all errors including membership ones?

Very Basic Question - Error message running first page

Hi Everyone,

I am running Windows 7 and I have gone into Control Panel and activated all of the IIS Functions.

The web application I am running was downloaded from the net (and has worked on other machines previously).  Once I downloaded it, I moved it into C:/inetpub/wwwroot/code/main.asp

I am a bit of a novice at this!  But I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction!

I get the following error when I try and run the web application through IE:

"An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator. If you are the system administrator please click here to find out more about this error."

(When i click the "click here" button it just goes to the IIS site).

Appreciate any help I can get!

Localize framework message from xml validation error

I need to validate an XML through XSD. I am using XMLReader (with XmlReaderSettings and

Validation_EventHandler to do it). Depend on users preference, I would like to change the output message generated by  Validation_EventHandler in french or english.

Any idea on how to perform this?

Word Automation - Multiple DCOM Errors/Behavior

Before I get started, I already know that Microsoft does not support and highly discourages server-based MS Office automation.  I've read a multitude of posts and smarmy "*wink*, here's a link" replies, so I'm looking for actual help here, not condescending reprimands.

That notwithstanding, here is my problem.  I have developed a simple method that will open a local Word document, modify some header information, and then save the document as a new file.  As expected, it works great as a console/windows app, but as soon as I went to ASP.NET, DCOM jacked my world up when accessing the app remotely from a different domain account (that has access to the ASP.NET app.  For reference, my method is shown below:

1 public static string ModifyAndSaveBuildDocument(string localFilePath, BuildDocumentType docType, string buildNumber, DateTime buildDate, string projectName)
2            {
3                try
4                {
5                    ProjectConfiguration config = (ProjectConfiguration)ConfigurationManager.GetSection("ProjectConfiguration");
