Form based authentication Sharepoint 2007 gets redirected to login page

Hi We have sharepoint 2007 site deployed on Windows server 2008, IIS 7.0.  We extended the web application to enable forms based authentication referring to link http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb975136(office.12).aspx#MOSS2007FBAPart1_Intro, we selected Kerberos instead of NTLM, behavior is like, when user tries to login into the site using OOB login.aspx, user again gets redirected to the login page. We tried to extend the web application again but this time we selected NTLM, but this time farm account (also is application pool identity) is not able login and exhibits same behavior as above, but for other users we are able to login. Has anyone come across this behavior? can anyone please guide me in correct the behavior? Regards, RK  Radhakrishna

newbie question: change login name of dbo user

My database has a user "dbo" which is dbo of all database objects. The login name for this user is e.g. "Login1". Now I need to change the login name for user "dbo" from "Login1" to a new login name "Login2".

It is not possible to change the related login name of the user "dbo" in the user's properties dialog. And it is also not possible to change or remove the dbo relation in the login name's properties dialog (because a dbo user can not be removed).

Is there any possibility to change the login name of an dbo user? How can I do it?

How to change the login name for the dbo account?

I need to change the login name for the dbo account on several databases to the SQL sa name instead of using a Windows authentication domain name.  I haven't been able to find a way to make this change.

Change form width ???

With this code I can change the width of a panel til the width of the form - the useable part of the form !

  public partial class Form1 : Form
    public Form1()

    private void Form1_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
      Panel aPanel = new Panel();
      aPanel.BorderStyle = BorderStyle.FixedSingle;
      aPanel.Width = ClientSize.Width;

How can I do it the other way around = set the form width to the width of a panel ?

It seems like the ClientSize.Width is READ ONLY !

I can use

this.Width = aPanel.Width + 8;

but what is this spooky 8 ????

change aspnetdb.mdf control

Hej guys

I have a database that contains one table with usernames and password. I am using vs 2010 and sql server developer version. i don't want to add other tables to my database.is there anyway that i can tell the login form of visual studio (maybe by using a web server that turns back the answer if user exists or not ) not to create the aspnetdb.mdf  ???

if i can use a web server to check if the user exists or not do i have to use a session or forms authentications...???i really am confused about this forms authentications and session...what is the difference..how do they work????

 Any idea

Login form always asking to re-login

Is it possible sharepoint and outlook exchange on an AD network  will close the session. The only way I can get my users to authenticate is by shutting down everything and then relogging back in.

The only pattern I see is that outlook or sharepoint is open during these times. My other thought is something on the AD side is blocking the authentication somehow?

Any ideas? I'm basically using the Form Authentication module.
