Post New Web Links

I'm using Visual Studio 2010.

Are there any step by step tutorials on how to use the SlideSHowExtender to create a slideshow?

I have had a look before posting but couldn't find any step by step info.

Each time I try to drag the SlideShowExtender to a web form I get a round black circle with a black line through the middle, in other words it won't let me use it and I must be trying to use this control incorrectly.

SlideShowExtender + AnimationExtender

Is it possible to use the SlideShowExtender and AnimationExtender together  to create a slide show with images fading in and out? It seems that there is no OnLoad event for images in a slide show and therefore you can't set an animation for that event.

Fast slideshowExtender PlayInterval

Hi All;

I've been using the SlideshowExtender with good success, but have an issue when users with low bandwidth use it. The reason is that I have set PlayInterval at 500, which means the slides change every half second (by design). We are simulating video by showing time-sequenced jpg images at a rapid pace.

So everything works well unless the client has non-broadband (or even slow broadband under 1000 kbps).

Is there a way I can download images first, then run slideshow on cached images? Also, is there a document anywhere that lists the javascript functions and properties in a single place? I see a variable enableCaching and a method/function called cacheImages that look like they might be useful, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how...

Thanks for any help - very useful control
