But the requirement is different.
I have 4 place holders in that aspx page.I need to bind div id="Section1" to placeholder1,

server controls inside asp:wizard, doesnt render html when step is not first..

I have a server control which consists of a gridview with custom navigation&information capabilities and with javascript functions to highlight the selected grid items or highlight when mouse over event occurs.. (full tested outside asp:wizard)

I'm trying to use that server control inside a template wizard step, when I drop such server control in the first step of the wizard everything goes ok.

When I insert even a blank step previous to the step which contains the server control, the javasript code of the server control is not rendered at all, the page doesn't fail during load but until I go with mouse over an item of the grid for instance.

When I check the rendered HTML I can see no HTML, nor javascript events of this server control where rendered, neither the implementation nor calls to javascript, but even rarer what is there visible in the grid for ie, even the other components of the server control, are not in the "view source code" content.

I seems it was sent to the client, even showed, but truncated in some phase..

Thanks in advance for your comments,

Louis.

Use .html method to output asp.net controls

Is it possible to use the .html method to output something like an asp:label ??  It doesn't seem to work for me unless they're standard html controls.  Here's my JQuery:

$(function() {
    $("#btnContinue").click(function() {
    $('#pre_register').html("<div id='post_register'></div>");
    $('#post_register').html("<asp:Label ID='lblUserName' runat='server' Text='Enter your desired user name:'></asp:Label>")
        .hide()
        .fadeIn(2000, function() {
        $('#post_register');
        });
    });
});

Page Header, PrintOnFirstPage=False, HTML render fine, PDF export leaves extra space

As it says in the header.Setup:SSRS 2008, VS 2008 SP1Local Mode, rdlc fileDesign:Make a 1/2" Page header with a text box in it. Set PrintOnFirstPage=FalseBody contains a Table that spans multiple "hard" pages.Results:Renders to HTML in the report viewer just fine.PDF export leaves blank 1/2" at the top of page 1. With no header for page 1, I had hoped it would remove the extra space the same as in the report viewer.Question:Any way to tell SSRS not to leave space when page header is turned off for the first page?Attempts:Tried putting everything in a rectange in the header and set the visibility to false. Still leaves space.

Get Public String in HTML doesn´t work in this case?

Hi, I am trying to retreive a public String in code behind in the HTML code like below but the compiler says that there is Illegal characters in path. I wonder if it is possible to pass a public String here in this case like this ?  <%@ Page Language="C#" ValidateRequest="false" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="Hello.aspx.cs" Inherits="Hello" %> <%@ PreviousPageType VirtualPath="<%# previousURL%>" %> (code behind): public String previousURL = "someURL";

Html.DropDownList using a List

This has to be a simple thing, but for whatever reason, I'm just not finding it. I want to use the HTML Helper function to create a DropDownList based on a List<string> (and actually have it bind to the data field on the model).  The simplest example, I suppose, would be: <%: Html.DropDownList("Material", new SelectList(new[] {"Wood","Brick","Metal"})) %> This creates the items in the drop-down, but of course, there's nothing in this line that would bind it to my model (model.Material).  I've done drop-downs with collections of models, where you can bind the Data and Display attributes to properties of the class, but I don't have a class here, just a List. Any ideas?

Html + string Builder

Hi,

Can anyone explain me what is hapening? I have a piece of code like this, and i'm using StringBuilder to create a html page however there's something worng.

sb.Append("<td " + strColorRef + " >" + item.MarDat == null ? "" : ((DateTime)item.MarDat).ToString(formDatMar) + "</td>");

value of  strColorRef  is  style="color: #FF8000;"

value of  item.MarDat == null ? "" : ((DateTime)item.MarDat).ToString(formDatMar) is  11-Out

The final result is  11-Out</td>

What is going on, i can't understand that.

HTML does not render properly

This is my setup.

I get some HTML from an OData service. When I try to HtmlDecode the HTML it won't! It simply outputs stuff like:

<p style="font-size:11px;">&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
Vivek W. (ESB): No!......That&#39;s

Why can't I Decode this HTML and render it properly ?

WPF controls won't render

I have a problem with rendering WPF controls. The application is basic - just a windows form with a button that opens a WPF window (the actual application is much more complex, but for testing purposes I've created a simple one and it didn't work either).

Now, it works fine on all machines except one particular. As I click the button a new window is opened. This window gets the background of anything that is behind it (you know like a photo, you can see it sometimes when application hangs and you move it) and it won't render its content at all. There is nothing in the window and it looks like the application has hanged, though it's working fine.

One more thing that I want to add, that this stuff started to happen after the OS was upgraded from Vista to Vista SP2.

My first thought was that something is wrong with .net installation, but reinstalling it didn't help.

I've also tried to open a windows form with elementHost in it. The content on the form renders just fine, inside element host it's all empty.
