I am starting to run out of ideas facing this issue: I have a custom ASP.NET login page with just a username/password combination and a logo. SOMETIMES at rare occasions and without any clear pattern, when users enter the login info and click submit the page instantly refreshes and loads again blank without the postback data.
i used Fiddler trying to understand what happened but could just get the obvious: two back to back page loads are recorded. its clear that the request is never processed by ASP.NET first because the login logic is not executed and because the postback data is not preserved (hence no page lifecycle). the application is deployed on IIS6.
any ideas will be most appreciated.
PS: I am keeping the possibility of a client related issue like IE and I am investigating that separately...
