Dialog Without Coding?

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 28, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint

Is it possible to create a SharePoint List drop-down link that takes me to either a particular Page View of the template.xsn or a Page View of a new InfoPath doc (i.e. neither an Edit, Display nor New) ALL within the SharePoint 2010 'dialog' mode (greyed out background) ... AND WITHOUT having to code?

Using proper guidelines and a template-framed style of coding will really helps developer to enjoy the coding with more understandable, reliable code and application development.

A Generic Dialog ViewModel

I worked on a wpf viewmodel for dialogs, because it seemed strange to me that you needed for instance windows forms dialogs to open or save files in wpf. So I set about creating my own wpf dialogs. After creating the dialog viewmodels there still remained a small issue with the library and also I didn't have much time to write an article about it. I however published the library containing the viewmodels for dialogs with another article on my blog

The void is invariant

while back I described a kind of variance that we've supported since C# 2.0. When assigning a method group to a delegate type, such that both the selected method and the delegate target agree that their return type is a reference type, then the conversion is allowed to be covariant. That is, you can say:

ASP.NET GridView - edit records using JQuery Dialog

There are many ways in which you could modify modular data in Grid View:
1. Inline by making rows editable when u click on Edit
2. By using separate pages for Edit
3. By using popups/dialogs for adding/editing

Best Coding Techniques To Improve Performance for SharePoint Applications

As more developers write custom code by using the SharePoint Object Model, they encounter common issues that can affect application performance.

The following areas reflect the main issues encountered by developers as they write custom code by using the SharePoint object model:

§ Disposing of SharePoint objects

§ Caching data and objects

§ Writing code that is scalable

Open ModalPopup dialog on page load

Is there a way to make a modal popup panel active on page load so that the user can't do anything until they deal with the popup dialog?

WebMatrix shorthand coding?

Will there be support for shorthand statements?

Example:

@if(1==1) @: works
@else @: doesn't work

as apposed to;

@if(1==1){
    <text>works</text>
}
else{
    <text>doesn't work</text>
}

Or perhaps ternary opperators? PHP like stuff ...

            System.Text.UTF8Encoding encoder = new System.Text.UTF8Encoding();
            System.Text.Decoder utf8Decode = encoder.GetDecoder();
            byte[] todecode_byte = Convert.FromBase64String(sData);
            int charCount = utf8Decode.GetCharCount(todecode_byte, 0, todecode_byte.Length);
