C# 4 provide a new dynamic keyword that enables dynamic typing in what has traditionally been a strongly typed language. We explain how the dynamic keyword works and what it offers that casting, var, and System.Object cant' match.

how to make a search txtbox that includes the search keyword and when the user clicks the search keyword disappears
thanks for the help
We are trying to replicate a feature in sharepoint search that the Google Search Appliance has called "Keyword Match". You choose a keyword or phrase and map it to a url. When a user searches with that keyword or phrase the result link that
you've matched it to comes up first in the list of results. I'm trying to find a similar feature like this in Sharepoint OOTB search web parts. Can you advise? Thank you!

I am having a problem that creeps up over and over when using LINQ to SQL. I am getting the error: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'WHERE'.
Now I have done a great deal of digging, and the only cause I can seem to find is when users are overriding the Equals() or GetHasCode() methods of the generated classes. I am not overriding either. I am getting this error on two different project
with two different databases. I have tried everything every post I have found suggests. I have even scrapped my dbml file and re-created, all to no avail.
Anyone have any thoughts? They would be greatly appreciated!
I have a question regarding casting that usually we do and the "as" keyword in C#.
E.g. in my code I use the following:
int counter = (int)strReturnValue;
Or I can also use the following:
int counter = strReturnValue as int;
Is there any difference between the above lines of code? As per my understanding if we use "as" keyword, it may not throw exception if the value in strReturnValue variable cannot be casted to int.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
When performing a Keyword Query - in this instance within a Core Results Web Part Fixed Keyword Query - how to specify the current user?
e.g. rather than
how can you achieve the equivalent of:
Of course I could create a Web part and inherit the from CoreResultsWebPart, but I'm surprised this isn't possible natively?
Can anybody please help me with the whole issue of keywords definition?
Here is what I've got and do:
Sharepoint 2010 server and FAST Search server for Sharepoint 2010
I create site collection "A" using FAST Search center template
I enable SharePoint Server Enterprise Site Collection Features
In FAST Search Keywords section I define a keyword "M
I need to search some records for one or more keywords ( user entered) and then display them in order of matching i.e. at the top all 3 keywords, at the bottom, just one keyword found.
Before I do this.... has anyone done it before ?
I was going to go through each sql record and search for the words, presume that best way ?
