Hi. I've been searching around to find ways to accomplish this, and indeed I have found some clever work arounds such as the 3D Tabs example listed here: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/scripting/3DTabStrip.aspx
What we are doing is creating a web application to add entries into a client visit database. We visit a client, take notes on the users, their PC specs, etc., and put them in a database. What we want is to webify this for lack of a better term so we're not dealing with SQL database directly. The idea of what we want is that we have this page, and when we hit "Add Entry," we have a step-by-step form, so that step 1 is for entering the users, step 2 is for choosing their computer/updating their computer specs if things have changed since our last visit, and then step 3 is the actual visit log of, "okay we went on this day and did this." What we want is for this process to be restricted --- you can't get to step 3 without going through steps 1 and 2. Our idea on paper is to use tabs, but we are opposed to using AJAX.
Before we go crazy trying to force the above example in the link to work, are we trying to re-invent the wheel? Is there something else you can do with ASP.NET to achieve our goal that we're not aware
