I know there has to be a better way of doing this.
I am setting up a staff training intranet site. the main objectives is to keep a history of what training has been undertaken by company employees.
the solution I have at the moment is
1) create a SharePoint list item on a list called training provider ( for the provider of the training course )
2) create a SharePoint list item on a list called training ( one of the columns is a lookup on the training provider list )
3) create a list item on a list called training schedule which links the employee and the training course.
Going forward I would like the employees themselves to be able to enter the details of the training courses themselves.
I'm concerned that the above process is unwieldly/cumbersome.
Is infopath the way to go ? would a solution involving workflow be better ?
I am having a requirement where I need to create an Expense Report Entry form using Infopath 2010.
1) The form would have pre-defined columns/Controls like Exp.Type(drop-down) , Details , Location, Amount , Curruncy, Date etc..
2) User can enter/update as many line items as possible by clicking Add/Update/Delete for the each line items. So basically its like adding the same row dynamically.
3) When User Submits, I need to capture this data and post it to SAP where I am using SAP web Services.
Can you please suggest if this is possible in InfoPath form ?
If Yes, how can I achieve this dynamic line items functionality in InfoPath
And how can I read the data using the code so that I can Post it to the WebService?
I have created forms in the past that have connected to a SQL Server database and done a variety of manipulations.
This time I have a static table in SQL server that I want to add to the project and load into an array without having to connect to SQL Server i.e. the windows form application will have this datatable embedded within it so any user can use it. How do I
add the table to the project in this way?
I know how to load the data into the array.
I have a SharePoint 2010 list and am using an InfoPath 2010 form to create items. I am trying to allow users to reference other list items by inserting
a hyperlink to other items in the same list. I have created a column in the list containing each items URL. I then created a drop down list in the InfoPath form that queries this column, so that it contains all the items URL’s. I also created a button
and a hyperlink field in the InfoPath form. I would like the user to be able to choose an item from the drop down list, click the button and have the hyperlink inserted into the form. Then be able to choose another item from the drop down list, click the button
and have another hyperlink inserted. I added a rule on the button that when clicked, sets the value of the hyperlink field to the value of the drop down item picked. This works, however, only allows for one hyperlink to be inserted.
I have also tried to use the multiple selection list box, by querying the URL column as the choices. This allows for multiple selections, however
it shows up as text a

I have a uc which generates a html
form that should auto-submit when the browser loads the page, so I need to add the form to the page before the </body> tag - outside the asp.net form, id like my
UC to work without having any requirements on its parent page / masterpage.
i have managed to add a literal inside the body tag by calling the following inside CreateChildControls on the parent page
however this required the body to have runat="server" and the code to be added to the user control's parent page. ( this also seems to cause the viewstate to be lost after postback)
Is there any way i can append the string to the rendered html inside the
body but outside the <form></form> from within the UC code
Incase it makes a difference the UC is being added dynamically to the page.

Sco Adding Dynamic Rows in ASP.NET GridView Control with TextBoxes and with Delete functionality In my previous examples, I have demonstrated on how to add dynamic rows in GridView control with TextBoxes and how to save the values into the database. Now, seems that most of the developers are asking if how to add a delete functionality with it. So in this example, I'm going to show on how to delete a certain row in the dynamic GridView with TextBoxes.
