Flash player doesn't send cookies while requesting an aspx page

I'm developing a web-site, that uses SWFUpload for multiple files upload to the server. Page, that uploades files, is accessable only to registered user. Authentication is done via web-forms (authentication mode="Forms" in Web.config). Flash uploades files to special web page - upload.aspx. In IE everything works great, but Flash player in non-IE browser (in Firefox, for example) does not send any cookies to upload.aspx. Because of it no sesion and no authentication information is available in this page.

I can pass all the information, necessary for uploading, in GET-parameters, which upload.aspx recieve. But this is a serious security hole and I don't want to expose session information. I can pass session identifier in GET-request. But the question is the following: how can I restore session information from the session identifier? How can I make HttpContext.Current.User point to currently logged in user in this case?

Any help will be appreciated.

3rd party cookies, proxies, and you.

I have an intranet site that is used to pull several other intranet applications/tools and database info to one place. One of the most popular features uses iFrames and jQuery tabs to give a broad overview of activities, signal etc in a network node.  Chrome and Firefox eat it up with no problems, IE will work if you override the cookie policies that restrict 3rd party cookies without a valid p3p (what a worthless standard).  IE also works if you already authenticated yourself on the individual sites and the session cookies are still valid. It's gaining popularity outside the original small intended audience, and I can't expect everyone to override their privacy settings or expect IT to push the sites out to exception lists on all PCs in the company. Before someone chimes in with "just add protected void Application_BeginRequest(object sender, EventArgs e) { HttpContext.Current.Response.AppendHeader("p3p", "CP=\"IDC DSP COR ADM DEVi TAIi PSA PSD IVAi IVDi CONi HIS OUR IND CNT\""); } to your global .asax", I have ZERO control of the child site., so regular 'ol p3p settings ain't gonna cut it.After wasting over two days with it and getting behind on more important matters, I figure my options at this point areSomehow inject p3p into the header of the child site just before iFrame renders. SQL Reporting Service, Cookies and Forms Authentication

Hi, I currently have a instance of SQL Reporting Services that uses custom Forms authentication. When I access the Report Manager through Internet Explorer the Report Manager redirects to my login page, I login and it heads back to the Report Manager and everything works as expected. The problem I'm having is when I use the web service it fails when I call ListItems( ... ). I first create an instance of the service, I then call LogonUser with a username and password, which executes fine, then I call the ListItems which throws an exception similar to: The content type text/html; charset=utf-8 of the response message does not match the content type of the binding (text/xml; charset=utf-8). If using a custom encoder, be sure that the IsContentTypeSupported method is implemented properly. The first 1024 bytes of the response were: '<html>  <head>   <title>    SQL Server Reporting Services   </title><meta name="Generator" content="Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services 10.50.1600.1" /> <meta name="HTTP Status" content="500" /> <meta name="ProductLocaleID" content="127" /> <meta name="CountryLocaleID" content="1033" /> <meta name="StackTrace" content="   at Microsoft.ReportingServices.

Cookies used in login to SharePoint site

I am trying to logon to my remote site while using SharePoint Designer 2007 and my login fails each and every time.  I loaded Fiddler to see what is going on and can see that there is a cookie being passed which contains an invalid pwd.  I have deleted all the stored cookies in IE, but still see the invalid pwd being sent to the host.  If the cookies are not stored in the IE files, where might they be stored?

How can I set Cookies to identify that machine

I tried to set a Cookies by Response.Chookies("chookie1") into a user's machine and found difficult to get the Cookies by Request.Chookies("chookie1"). I think that is because the person used various cs(User-Agent) (browser names?). Here are some of them:

In such case, how can I set Cookies to identify that machine?

Thanks a lot for any suggestions.
