SSRS 2008 R2 and sharepoint 2007 report builder problems

I upgraded our enterprise sql server 2008 to sql server 2008 r2 last weekend.  Along with this i installed the report builder 3.0 on the servers as well and the updated ssrs add in for sharepoint.  The upgrade went fine, no errors that i could find.  The problem is now when i go to a library that has the report builder content type enabled and click report builder report under new it does not load report builder 3.0.

I updated the custom report builder url in central administration from /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_2_0_0_0.application to /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_3_0_0_0.application

however when i do click the new report builder report it kicks me over to http://company.com/ReportServer_MossEnt  which itemizes out each individual sharepoint site in the farm.

Is the integration of ssrs 2008 r2, sharepoint 2007 and report builder 3.0 work?  did i install the wrong version of the report builder add in?  The above is the only problem i am having now.

all servers are server 2008, 64 bit and moss 2007 enterprise with sp2 & april 2010 cu

Report Builder in sharepoint is not working.

We are using below Topology in production
Topology is 3 servers:

Sever2: Sql server 2008
Server3: Reporting Services 2008
Operating system on 3 servers: Windows server 2008.
Authentication mode: Form based authentication.

SSRS reports are working success fully in SharePoint using above topology, The issue is through SharePoint library when i am trying to access report builder reports the client is installing, after enter the credentials it is not connecting to server and am getting the following error "Unable to connecting server at 'http://servername/Reports/Forms/AllItems.aspx'  please use different url

The above issue on production only.

But in local development box there is no problem (in my development box SharePoint t, database (sql) and reporting service sits on my box only)

Thanks for your he

Report Builder Report manage data sources - relink programmatically

As part of a site definition solution several report builder report rdl files are uploaded to a report folder.  After a site is created with the defintion, the reports must be manually re-linked to the data source through the UI context menu ("Manage Data Sources").  I have been trying to figure out how to do the re-linking programmatically without luck.  Any ideas? ( Reporting Services is configured as integrated with sharepoint)

Report Model/Report Builder/Out of Memory Exceptions

Report Builder 3.0 'backward' compatibility??

I've been asked to deploy Report Builder -- a new deployment, it's never been deployed before. Can RB 3.0 create reports against all versions of SQL Server -- 2005, 2008, and 2008 R2?? I understand that they might not be backward-compatible with earlier versions of Report Builder. Can Report Builder 3.0-created reports be used and seen within WSS 3.0 running on SQL 2008?? -- what would be necessary to make this happen?? The present reporting server files installed to the Citrix servers and SharePoint server are SQL 2008 Reporting Services files (10.x), I imagine installing Report Builder 3.0 would be compatible?? Thank you, Tom

SSRS 2008 R2 - Query builder freezes and needs to be shut down Report Builder 3 when attempting quie

Hi, In SSRS, using Report Builder 3.0 (SSRS R2), after choosing a Report Model as the report's embedded data source, launched "Query Deisinger…" from GUI to build data source in report.  First 1-2 attempts at querying underlying data source (Oracle back-end), are successful, but later attempts freeze application to the point where application freezes and overall Report Builder application needs to be forcibly shut-down. This system freeze has occurred when referencing tables containing a very small number of records as well as larger data sets.  Suspect that application freezing may be caused by timing-out of connection to back-end database. but I am not sure. Any suggestion to solve this issue? Thanks   Environment - Distributed deployment Server1(report_srv) --Windows server 2003R2 64bit, Installed sql server 2008R2 reporting service, configuration tools Server2 (report_db_srv) --windows server 2003r2 64bit, sql server 2005 for report server database

Report Builder vs Oracle Discoverer

Hello, I need some information about Report Builder (SSRS 2005) vs Oracle Discoverer. Our data source are at 80% Oracle, but our user don’t like very much Discoverer. We have a data warehouse with OLAP system in SSAS (relational data mart in Oracle), reports and dashboards SSRS and Performance Point. Our idea is to change report tool from Discoverer to Report Builder. Many thanks

Report Builder 2.0 Permissions

I've recently moved from SSRS 2008 Standard/SharePoint Integrated to SSRS 2008 Standard/Native.   I have some users with full permissions to a single folder within the SSRS site.  They need to access ReportBuilder.  In my testing, I've added my user account to SystemUser on site settings, as well as given it full permissions to the folder.  However, I keep receiving insufficient permissions exceptions when trying to connect with ReportBuilder.  For the site URL in ReportBuilder, I've tried both http://servername/reportserver and http://servername/reportserver/folder_name.   Any ideas? Thanks

Report Builder 3.0 won't connect

Hi.  I installed the standalone Report Builder 3.0.  This will not connect to our reporting server.  I am using the same URL that Report Builder 2.0 is using.  Report Builder 2.0 does connect.  The URL is http://tstreporting/ReportServer_tstreporting. The report server is a Windows 2008 Server with SQL Server 2008 Sp1 (10.0.2531). John

Report Builder

I am attempting to create a report using the report builder.  I can see the button for the report builder on my report server but nothing happens when you click it.  I also attempted to go directly to the url but once again nothing. Finally, I attempted to run the application directly from the file structure and in doing so there I got the following errors.  Could not find file 'reportbuilder.chm.deploy'.  I created a junk text file with the same file name and attemted to run the app again and this time I got a error that said: Could not find file 'reportbuilder.exe.deploy'.  After that I created another junk text file and named it the same as that. This is part of the errors that I recieved.  This doesn't suprise me based on the hack I did to get to this point.  Below is a summary of the errors, details of these errors are listed later in the log. * Activation of Reporting Services\ReportServer\ReportBuilder\ReportBuilder.application resulted in exception. Following failure messages were detected:  + Exception occurred loading manifest from file ReportBuilder.exe: the manifest may not be valid or the file could not be opened.   + File ReportBuilder.exe is not a valid Portable Executable (PE) file.  + PE file does not have enough data. I'm not sure what the overall issue is and why these files would be missing.  Any guidance in relation to this situation would be great.

Report Builder 3.0 Additional Localization

In our organization there is a requirement to translate the whole Report Builder 3.0 UI in Romanian. As described in http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd207038.aspx it seems that Romanian language is not supported. Does someone know the process of creating new languages? It seems that under C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10_50.SQLSERVER2008_1\Reporting Services\ReportServer\ReportBuilder there are some folders named after several cultures and also a folder RptBuilder_3 with similar folders. These folders hold some files having a pattern like ReportBuilder.resources.dll.deploy (maybe compiled .resx files?).
