Disable/Hide/Redirect Close Button

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 28, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint

Hi all,

was wondering if there was any way Out of Box to disable/hide/redirect the close button when drilling down on a list item. I see it is possible using code, but this is not an option for us at this time as it is not supported.

Hide Modal Dialog Close Button when dialog is already shown

Hey everyone,

Was wondering, how do you hide the close button of a modal dialog, when it's already shown, i.e. the page that's being loaded into the dialog, in there is a web part, and i want to trigger a script call to hide the close button of the current modal container.

I know you could give options to the modal dialog when you shot it to hide the close button, but not sure if you can do it after it has shown. I have no control of adding the option when it's showing the dialog, as this is done by the Add new item link in a list.

How to hide button in last("fake") row of Datagridview?

In my dgv I have a DataGridViewButtonColumn which adds a "delete row" button to each row. However, a button also gets created for the "fake" row at the bottom of the dgv, which makes no sense in this context because that row does not correspond to a record yet. What is a good way to hide that button, or at least paint over it? I came across this page which shows a method that might do the trick, but I was wondering if there is a better way to do this for this particular situation.

Disable a link button in grid view after it is clicked

I have a grid view with each row as a link button. When I click on the row, some data parsing process takes place (about a 15 sec process). The grid refreshes itself at a regular interval. I want to disable the link when it is clicked once, so that the user gets to know that row has been processed already and does not click it again, until the grid refreshes itself and the row disappears. I am copying my gridview code below. Please give me some idea on how to disable the link button on that row as soon as it is clicked.Thank You. <td rowspan = "4" valign = "top" > <asp:Label ID="gvOrdersQueueLabel" runat="server" ></asp:Label><br /> <asp:UpdatePanel runat="server" ID="updatePane1"> <ContentTemplate> <asp:GridView ID="gvOrdersQueue" runat="server" OnRowCommand = "ParseOrderMessage" EmptyDataText="No Cases Found" BorderStyle = "Double" AlternatingRowStyle-BackColor="Beige" EnableViewState="false" AutoGenerateColumns="False" HeaderStyle-Height = "20" RowStyle-Height = "20" AllowPaging ="true" PageSize = "20" OnPageIndexChanging="gridView_PageIndexC

Mobile redirect and the browser back button

Has anyone here ever successfully constructed a two-page mobile website with VB, one page for input and one page for displaying results?  If so, how do you call the results page and can you return to the input page using the back button on your mobile browser?  I have no problem creating such a website for regular browsers, but I simply cannot construct one for the iPhone or the Droid ... you can't return to the first page via the backbutton and still have it be functional; all you have is the graphics.  There is no load event for the page you're returning to.  It seems like mobile browsers don't handle server-side redirects properly.  If you open a new page via a hyperlink, you can return to the page you were on and it will still be functional; not so following a redirect to another page on your site. I've experimented endlessly with cache settings, redirect parameters, and the pagestatepersister class to no avail.  I need to know if I'm on a futile quest.  Can anyone offer confirmation for can do/can't do?

I need to hide the print button when user clicks print

using vb.net/asp.net 2005.when the user clicks on a linkbutton I am displaying records from my gridview, popping up a new window so that the user can print the records being displayed in the gridview, dvName is the name of the dive that encloses the gridview and gvName is the name of my gridview. The display and print functionality is working fine but the problem is that I am trying to hide the print button from being printed.  When the user clicks on print then all records (good) and the print button (not good) are being printed, here is the javascript that displays the records and the print button.function printDiv(dvName, gvName) { try{ var sOption="toolbar=no,location=no,directories=yes, menubar=no,"; sOption+="scrollbars=yes,width=750,height=600,left=100,top=25"; var countRows = 0; var gridview = document.getElementById(gvName); if(gridview != null) { countRows = gridview.rows.length; if (countRows > 0) { countRows = countRows - 1; } } var sWinHTML = document.getElementById(dvName).innerHTML; var winprint=window.open("","",sOption); winprint.document.open(); winprint.document.write('<html><LINK href=MyStyleSheet.
