I have a fairly straighrtforward Orders table in SQL 2008. I am using VS2010. I use VB. I have a Datagrid for listing all orders between FromDate to ToDate using a stored procedure. I select the period from a drop down list which sends me to a Case statement providing these dates. I convert them to variables and off they pop to SQL. This works fine.
The problem I have is in getting the DataGrid to recognise that there is a second orare subsequent pages required to display and getting them to display. If you don't need the variables then the datagarid works fine and any number of pages come up. I have set Custom Paging.
Where do I go from here to get the DataGrid to page or should I start using DataLists or something else now? I just like my datagarids (I guess I am used to using them but I know they are out of fashion with MS as they are not provided in the toolkit anymore.) but if I have to update myself then I will if it makes life easier.
