SharePoint 2010 Product Key to use upon installation Enterprise vs Internet

We are building a public facing SharePoint 2010 instance. Now of course we have to get the correct licences for public access and such, which we have done, but we have 2 licence keys one for "Enterprise" and one for "internet". What is the basic difference between using the "Enterprise" key VS the "internet" key? The install process asks for a product key, but does not give up any hints as to which key should be used for what purpose. When installing SharePoint 2010 for our public facing sites which Product key do we use? On the face of it you would think that the the "internet" key should be used because of the public facing requirement, but would that give you all of the other services (e.g., excel, infopath, visio, etc..) that the "Enterprise" key (Licence) provides? If you install with one key and realize after the fact that you needed to install with the other key can it be easily changed or is a re-install of SharePoint 2010 needed? Any assistance would be most appreciated    MatteoMatteo

SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Manager no longer displays DTS packages

SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Manager no longer displays DTS packages and the SQL Server Agent jobs that use the DTS packages now fail. The affected servers are running Windows Server 2003 SP2 and SQL Server 2000 SP4 and all update patches for both the OS and SQL Server. The DTS packages are ActiveX scripts that read data from a database table and output that data to a text file on the same server.  They include the database connection string and the SQL account used by the connection string has not changed. I've determined that the DTS packages still exist by trying to re-create them with the same name, but they don't appear in the Local Packages window and they no longer function when the scheduled job that uses then runs. The SQL Server Agent Job error is as follows: Executed as user: <server admin user account>. DTSRun: Loading... Error: -2147467259 (80004005); Provider Error: 11 (B) Error string: [DBNETLIB][ConnectionRead (recv()).] General network error. Check you network documentation. Error source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server Help file: Help context 0. Process Exit Code 1. The step failed. The job has working perfectly for the last 5 years, until about a week ago when it started failing. I have two other servers with the exact same configuration running the same DTS packages and job that still work and the DTS packages show up in Enterprise

SSRS 2008 - report manager: System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote server

I have an instance of Reporting Services 2008 running on Windows 2003 server.  So, the webservice URL is running on port 801, and runs fine (I can browse reports from that directory, and upload / deploy new reports and overwrite existing reports. Report manager is set to use port 800 (IIS is also on that machine running port 80).  When I attempt to connect to report manager, I get the following error, with a link to "Home" in report manager (which brings me back to the existing error page):    Unable to connect to the remote server  In the logfiles for reporting services, the following error is there: " System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote server ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.   Any ideas? Windows Firewall is NOT running on this machine.   Thanks, Chrisrjp

MSDN sample Dllimport unable to load DLL

I tried out the sample described in MSDN "extern (C# reference)" (Example 2 and 3, the one which created an unmanaged dll called Cmdll.dll, then used it in cm.cs)

It doesn't work. I'm guessing path problem. Following is the error message.

Unhandled Exception: System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'Cmdll': Th
e specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)

The generated dll is in the same folder as the cm.exe. I copied the dll to the System32 folder. None works.

Any help appreciated.

I need to install SQL Server Enterprise Manager to run with SQL Server 2008 to define the email settings which will help me to send email through transact sql. Can anyone any link from Microsoft to download ?

Also, Is there any other way to define settings for SQL Email which should not include any further installation with the current SQL Server 2008 ?

Security processor was unable to find a security header in the message

Recently on one of my machines, my client (WCF client) is having problem talking to WCF server. Both server and client are running on the same machine. The machine is Windows7 64 bit machine. It used to work fine until recently. The same software is working fine on all other machines with exactly same configuration. I am really confused here. Could someone please let me know what could be the problem?

Exception Type:

System.ServiceModel.Security.MessageSecurityException, System.ServiceModel, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089

Security processor was unable to find a security header in the message. This might be because the message is an unsecured fault or because there is a binding mismatch between the communicating parties. This can occur if the service is configured for security and the client is not using security.

Where is 'Change query type' (Enterprise manager) equivalent in the Management Studio

In sql server 2000 Enterprise manager, there was a ‘Change Query type’ icon and on clicking it, it gave you the option of changing the current query to a

Insert into

I can’t seem to find this in SQL Server Management Studio, does it exist somewhere or is there an equivalent way of doing it. Any help would be appreciated.

Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Installation Problem

Good evening!

I downloaded Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition (x86 and x64) from MSDNAA (i study computer science) and also  Windows 7 Professional (x86). I installed Windows 7 and i tried to install SQL Server but i receive the "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installation has failed. SQL Server 2008 Setup requires .NET Framework 3.5 to be installed." error. I tried installing .NET Framework but it doesn't work because it's installed by default with Windows 7 (i checked the "Turn Windows features on or off" page and the "Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.1" checkbox is checked). I understand that this means .NET framework 3.5 SP1 is also installed so i shouldn't have any errors.

Can anyone help me with this installation problem?

Thank you!
