Microsoft Groove 2007

Is there a way to have a file on the hard drive of my computer be set to automatically sync with a specified Groove file? That way I am not putting files onto my hard drive, and then onto Groove as well. I feel like I am duplicating my work.

Install MOSS 2007 and ProClartity 6.3 (PAS6.3) on the same Microsoft Windows 2003 Server

An install of MOSS 2007 and ProClartity 6.3 (PAS6.3) on the same Microsoft Windows 2003 Server seems to be problematic. MOSS 2007 creates a default website and stops the normal default website. As soon as PAS 6.3 is installed it installs to this stopped default website. How can I overcome this issue?

When attempting to install "Security Update Microsoft for the Microsoft 2007 Office system updates (updates KB2277947 and KB982331)" the sintallation fails and then I recieve the error "The detection failed, this can be due to a corrupted installation database". System Info: XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3 Intel Atom CPU N270 @ 1.60 GHz I am running XP and have installed and run the "Fit It" tool, to no avail. I even tried downloading each update individually, from the Microsoft site, instead of through the automatic update. I also read this same question posted by another user (link: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointadmin/thread/cfa66cd3-2aa2-44ee-9393-ffae41d4f70c/) only to find his info contained no answer either. How do I fix this so that I can get these updates installed?

ASP.NET Security Vulnerability and SharePoint 2007 (Microsoft Security Advisory (2416728))

With the recent security advisory issued by Microsoft for all ASP.NET applications it was highlighted by Scott Gu that SharePoint applications are at risk also. Scott provided a link to a script which would run on your web-server  to determine if there are ASP.NET applications installed on it and if it was vulnerable or not. I ran this script on my SharePoint server and noticed the following web.config files highlighted as being vulnerable:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\template\layouts\web.config
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\template\images\web.config
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\isapi\web.config
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\wpresources\web.config

Could I follow the instructions provide by Microsoft in the alert and modify these files? If not, how do I protect my web applications from this threat or are they at risk at all?

MS Groove 2007, Sharepoint and Slate Devices

I know that SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint Workspace is the way to go for the mobile workforce to have access to documents.  But ... my company is still using WSS 3.   Is it possible to install Groove 2007 on one of the new tablet devices?  And would that accomplish access to SharePoint documents offline?

SQL Server CE Or Microsoft Access 2007

We are looking at creating a new very small application (max 5 concurrent users) that allows for multiple users to share the same database. As a result, a debate between SQL Server CE and Microsoft Access 2007 has surfaced.  As I understand, Microsoft Access Databases can be split; forms reports etc can exist on a client machine and the mdb file can be placed on a file share allowing for concurrent user access.  On the other hand, I would prefer from a scalability standpoint to develop the application in C# using SQL Server CE.  I had noticed in the documentation that Sql Server CE supports multiple users and multiple connections.  However after further investigation, it appears the the multiple users and multiple connections must be running on the same computer (multiple LOCAL concurrent connections).  As a result, unlike Microsoft Access MDB, the SQL Server CE sdf file cannot be placed on file share and be accessed by multiple clients.  Of course we can move up to the SQL Server Express edition, however, this would require a separate server installation and not the simplicity/convienance offered by a single mdb or sdf fileshare deploy.  Are there any solutions (or tricks) that would allow multiple clients to connect to a single SQL Server CE file concurrently or am I really restricted to an Access 2007 deployment.  A

Finding a Microsoft fix for InfoPath 2007

How do I track down whether a fix is available for a known Microsoft bug?

I am working with an InfoPath add-in that must display a menu on forms opened on the client. The first form opened always displays the menu, but frequently (though not always) subsequently opened forms do not display the menu. This only happens if there is more than one form open at a time.

I have found this article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931419, which appears to be discussing the very issue that I am having, but I cannot seem to find any information as to whether a fix is available for the problem. I have hunted through all of the Service Packs and Updates information that I can find without success. Is there a centralized area that contains this information?

Does anyone else have any ideas as to how I can correct this problem?

Thank you very much!!

Using Microsoft Infopath 2010 with MOSS 2007

I currently have InfoPath 2007 forms uploaded on the MOSS 2007 server in which we can fill out and will submit to/query from a database. I was curious if I decided to upgrade to Microsoft InfoPath 2010 would it be a smooth transition or would I need to change anything since I'm not upgrading MOSS 2007. Thanks in advance!
