I am trying to create a custom report in a WPF application but cannot find any way to do this as in WinForms. Does anyone know how to create custom reports in WPF?  I would even take exporting data to a Word document template using parameters. Does anyone know of any good information for accomplishing any of the two above?

Client need to open auditing reports in excel application not in browser

Good day,
I encountered with this issue in MOSS 2007. Auditing reports was opened from common SharePoint auditing page.
This page contains hyperlinks to auditing reports.
When any user tries to open this hyperlink, "open file" dialog does not appear, instead of this a IE browser silently open in text XML format.
I suppose that common behaviour is when user open a hyperlink, report will open with excel application through "open file" dialog.
For example, hyperlink in SharePoint contains URL:

I've created a custom content type in VS. In "Elements.xml" file of my content type, I added my custom application page as new form and deployed as feature.

    <FormUrls xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/v3/contenttype/forms/url">

Display Site Usage reports in web part

Is there any way to display Site Usage reports that SharePoint 2010 provides out of box under Site Collection in a custom page using Custom or any OOB web part? We tried to make use of Web Analytics report, which does not allow us to display reports generated by SharePoint, however it has its own algorithm.

Please let us know if some one tried in this direction.

Thanks in advance.

QUESTION: how build/create sql reports via a C# application using own user interface:

Hello all,

I would like to know if it is possible to create my own user interface, to enable me to print / create my own sql reports using the "sql reports builder". The C# user interface would simply add the various fields and parameters that one would normally add if you run the sql report builder by itself.

Is this possible? And if so could someone please point me in the right direction / site tutorials to do so/

Many thanks and kind regards

Cannnot load SSRS 2008R2 reports under app domain context of a web application

I'm a novice to SSRS 2008R2 and have SSRS 2008R2 reports which got upgraded from SSRS 2005. I need to load those reports from a web application. The reports use custom data processing extensions. Reports run fine from Visual Studio 2008 IDE. I'm running a Windows Server 2008R2 machine.

In order to load configuration information specific to the web application, underlying framework used as a data access layer utilizes AppDomain.CurrentDomain.FriendlyName to decide the name of the web application. The frame work is a separate assembly referenced in my web application project.

Previously, while using SSRS 2005, since IIS was used to host the report server virtual directories, the web application name was easily determined from the current application domain. With SSRS 2008R2, the virtual directories are hosted by the report server itself by making use of http.sys ( not quite sure how this works exactly yet). The friendly name I get from the app domain is not what I expect, i.e., my web application name. Instead, I get something like this: ReportServer_MSSQLSERVER2K8R2_0

Any suggestion how to resolve this issue?

Linking to Reports in Document Library from .net web application

I have a document library that contains some SQL Reports.  I have crearted a .net web application and I have a page that has links to the reports.  I got the following error message:

Reporting Services does not support anonymous user from a SharePoint site. To view Reporting Services reports, choose a SharePoint site that does not have Anonymous access enabled or sign in on an anonymous site.

So, I turned on Anonymous access for the site, and gave the document library view for anonymous access.  Now I can access the applications without an error message, but others are still getting this error message when they try to access from the link.  Does anyone know why this would happen?  Thanks.
