Page2-- URL Page2.aspx

Page3-- URL Page3.Aspx?some=1  (Query string with URL)

Page4-- URL page4.apsx

So When I Click on Page2 , Page1, Page4 links page opens well and SELECTED link is Highlighted.

But When I click on Page3 (with Query string) -- This link is not highlighted instead first link is highlighted.

Navigation headings and links display in Treeview expandable collapse buttons in quick launch in Sha

Whenever i am adding Headings and Links in my sharepoint site under "Navigation", it should display in Treeview collapse expandable buttons in quick launch. How to achieve this, any suggestions please. I tried by enabling Treeview in Site settings-->Tree view, but it is not useful here(it only displays document libraries with folders in "+" or "-" symbols. Binding the sharepoint treeview to the quick launch data source

Is there any way i can bind the sharepoint treeview navigation to the same datasource as the quick launch bar? I'm trying to create a consistent navigation structure within a 4-site deep structure so the quick launch bar is rather clunky to use, but the treeview picks up on document libraries i don't want it to (i only want it to show subsites and pages).

Groups / Quick Launch / All Groups

I am setting up a sharepoint site and do not like the way that all groups are visible to all users.  Is it possible to filter the Quick Launch group list so that normal users who are group owners, see only the groups they own, and only administrators can see a link to "All Groups"?

Remove/Hide empty space of quick launch from web part page

I created a document library, whose type is "Web Part Pages". When I create a new web part page in this document library the quick launch is missing from the pages. There's a gap on the left side of the web part page for about 200px where the quick luanch would have been.

I don't necessarily want the quick launch to show up at this point. But I don't want the empty space in there either. I would prefer that the web part page covers the empty space on the left side. Can you please advise how to fix this? I had created a subsite before where I don't have this problem.

Let me know if it's not clear about what I mentioned above. Unfortunately I can't post an image here to show what I'm referring to.

Quick Launch Custom WebPart

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to customize the left navigation. As per my analysis so far there are two options:

  1. Customize the CSS
  2. Create a custom webpart

I am going for the second method due to some requirement.

What i wish to know is how can i get the left navigation quick lauch bar list items in the code behind and bind it to my custom control.

Thanks and Regards,

Quick Launch navigation and Table Of Contents Web Part multi language issues

I noticed that my multi language site have some issues in translations. The translations in breadcrumb, list and libraries are all ok, except the list names in the Quick Launch navigation and the Table Of Contents Web Part, it does not translate the names of lists and libraries......

Can anybody give me some advise? Or is this a bug?

How to add a custom action (a link) to Central Administration quick launch in sharepoint 2010 ?

Hello everyone,
How can I add a link to Central administration quick launch? There are several links in Central administration quick launch by default under "Central administration" text ("System settings", "Monitoring", "Backup and Restore", "Security", "Upgrade and Migration", "General Application Settings", "Application Management", "Configuration Wizards"). How can I add new link under "Configuration Wizards". And I tried  but it doesn't work. A link appeared on the Central administration page but it isn't displayed at the quick launch (left panel) .
I did that as follows:
