I have couple of question related to SPTimerjobs
1) is there a way to run these timer jobs on demand? (meaning I click on it and it starts running). If it is not available by default, are there any other options? Currently I am thinking of creating another version of this solution and modify it to make
it as standalone application.
2) do we get to see the last few status of the run (meaning what time it started, what time it ended etc)? if not, do we probably need to do that through logs? Currently it shows in the timer job status the last time the job got started and not even the
time it ended.
3) I have about 5-7 timer jobs that are setup. The actual time of the job is kind of hardcoded in the installer source that is built within the feature. Is there a way to read these from web-config or other external sources? I know that owstimer service
needs the run time before hand but is there a way?
thanks for reading.
