Trying to copy a SQL2000 database on server TUNA to destination server MOJITO which runs default instance of SQL2008 (at ServicePack1) via the CD Wizard. Resulting job fails on MOJITO with this in application log:
SQL Server Scheduled Job 'CopyDatabaseWizard_TUNA_MOJITO_1' (0x64AB69F2880A7E4DA3708546C33DFF40) - Status: Failed - Invoked on: 2010-09-23 17:05:04 - Message: The job failed. Unable to determine if the owner (CBMIWEB\johna) of job CopyDatabaseWizard_TUNA_MOJITO_1
has server access (reason: Could not obtain information about Windows NT group/user 'CBMIWEB\johna', error code 0x5. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 15404)).
There is a credential on MOJITO defined for CBMIWEB\johna. There is a proxy on MOJITO that uses that credential. The job has one step and in the properties I have set the RUN AS value for the job to be the name of the Proxy. The proxy is established for
The "owner" of the job is also CBMIWEB\johna which is a domain userid in the local Administrators group of each machine (both TUNA and MOJITO). This userid has been granted the permission to
Logon as a Batch Job on both servers.
TUNA is a Windows 2000 standalone server; MOJITO is Windows 2003. I can logon to each server as CBMIWEB\johna.
I don't know what else to do.
For handy database interface, is it good to use SqldataSources exclusively intead of EntLib functions?
Thanks for any feedback.

Hi all, I'm having this problem....
Scenario: C# 2010, WPF, SQL Compact 3.5 SP2.
I'm working at a wpf window which loads records from a SQL Compact DB and shows data in textboxes. At runtime everything works perfectly but since this morning (working on it last 2 days) i'm not able to edit the window at DesignTime.
As soon as I open the window with the wpf editor I got the error (translating from Italian):
"Impossible to find the database. Check the database path. [Data Source = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE\thedbfile.sdf]"
Now, in settings and app.config I have the connection string which is something like
I don't understand why and where NOW (only since this afternoon) at Design Time VS look that path for the database, while at RunTime it's ok.
Again, I'm using Datasets, and I can preview data, ecc., as said everything is ok except the edit of the window which crash with this error....
I am working on a multi-lingual application
Assume the following:
Database has 50 tables and application has to support 5 languages
Which is the best way to design the database:1. Include a langugae column for each table. Repeat the values for each language. Say i have a country table which has 100 countries in it. Then my design will contain 500 rows (100 for each langugae)2. Create a separate table which will contain the translations for all the 50 tables in with a foreign key to the parent table.
Which is more efficient out of the above two.
Does anyone know, if we know the number of expected users, number of documents and general usage of a SP2010 system, how I could estimate the sizes of the 2 web analytics databases please? I'm trying to get a very rough idea of SQL db sizing and this part
of the process has me stumped. I have spent a lot of time reading all the MS whitepapers and they are good for size estimation except for these 2 databases.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Hello to forums :)
I have a simple question on design.
A company has several 'Worklocations'. Each location employs several workers. Every worker can be associated with multiple locations.
So, I have decided to create below tables. please letme know if there is a better way to design it
workerlocations (WID+LID => primary key)
Is this sounds right for you guys? let me know
