How To Create Dynamic Insert Store Proc

I want to Create a Insert Procedure for Table which has Three Coloum I want to use this Insert Store Proc for another table which has two coloum. If it works then I don't Have to create more Store Proc for Every Table One Insert Proc will Serve my Purpose I am My giving my proc below

Create Proc All_Insert

@Name varchar (30),

@Phone varchar (15)

@Mobile Varchar (15)

create and insert into a dynamic sql table at runtime

Below I have a bunch of SQL statements that creates a table at runtime and the "pic" column is a dynamic column and the code creates the number of "pic" columns depending on the count of the uploader control.  the problem comes when I try to insert into that table and I am trying to say for every "pic" declare variable @pic.... it works well for just one file in the uploader but for multiple files i get the following error The name "pic1" is not permitted in this context. Valid expressions are constants, constant expressions, and (in some contexts) variables. Column names are not permitted.Directory.CreateDirectory(MapPath(".") & "\port\" & clientname.Text & "\")        Dim objConn As New SqlConnection("Data Source=xxxxxxxxx.hostedresource.com; Initial Catalog=mrpoteat; User ID=xxxxxxx; Password=xxxxxxxxx;")        objConn.Open()        Dim strCommandText As String = ""        For index = 1 To Attachments1.Items.Count Step 1            If String.IsNullOrEmpty(strCommandText) Then                strCommandTex

insert into dynamic SQL Table at runtim

the follow ing is supposed to create a table and insert the columns into the table at runtime.  It also has picture column and creates the amaount of picture columns based on the amount of files in the multiple file uploaer.. it works fine with just one file in the uploader.  The problem comes when there  are two or more files in the uploader and intead of adding the second image right after the first image is added, it instead adds the first image then goes back and trys to create the table again, and i get an error saying the table already exsits.I want it to add the second image right after the first image, not go back and create the table then add the second imageDirectory.CreateDirectory(MapPath(".") & "\port\" & clientname.Text & "\")              Dim objConn As New SqlConnection("Data Source=xxx")        objConn.Open()        Dim strCommandText As String = ""        For index = 1 To Attachments1.Items.Count Step 1            If String.IsNullOrEmpty(strCommandText) Then                strCommandText = "

Cannot INSERT record using Asp.Net Dynamic Data Domain Service Web Applications

 Hi, I am working on a 'Asp.Net Dynamic Data Domain Service Web Application' project using just 2 tables, FAQ_Categories and FAQs. The FAQs table has a foreign key to the FAQ_Categories. The steps are straight forward. Add a new project (Asp.Net Dynamic Data Domain Service Web Applications) Add folders Model ( for Linq2Sql datacontext), Domain (for the Domain Services class) Add Linq2Slql and add the 2 tables to the designer. Build the project. Add the Domain Service Class to the Domain folder. in the wizard select the DataContext, uncheck the Enable Client & Expose ODate checkbox Check bothe table & their corresponding Enable Editing tables checbox Check the Generate Metadata class Click OK. In Global.asax set Scaffold to true and add the DomainService name. Build and run.   Pages List and Detail are working fine. But if I try to insert a new record, I get the error "FaqId is required" Faq_ID is the primary key in the database table and it is set to Identiy. The Datacontext is correct, it marked the FAQ table with <Global.System.Data.Linq.Mapping.ColumnAttribute(Storage:="_CustomerId", AutoSync:=AutoSync.OnInsert, DbType:="Int NOT NULL IDENTITY", IsPrimaryKey:=true, IsDbGenerated:=true)> _   I tried this using Linq2Sql, Entity Framework, And both in VB and C# with the same result. I am using VS20

How to insert dynamic data into an XML or HTML format table

Hi there,

I have a technical problem as the title described. I need to achieve this by SSIS that means the destination file could be XML or HTML. However, before inserting dynamic data from source, an XML or HTML format table must be predefined. In the final destination file, the predefined table and dynamic data will be both output.

Can anybody give some suggestions or reference links regarding to this? Appreciate it.

Combining view-only data and Dynamic Data on insert/edit pages

Hello all, here's a problem I've been trying to figure out an elegant solution for, but so far I'm coming up blank. I have a situation where I'd like to display view-only data and Dynamic Data together on the same page (without creating custom insert.aspx and edit.aspx pages). I've been playing around with using a SQL view, so that it returns me both my view-only fields and my updateable fields as well. I'm having issues with the insert side of things, the edit page works quite well, and I know I'm going to have to create custom delete logic. The major drawback to using a SQL view though is that to get it to behave you have to 'hack' the .edmx file, and I'm not sure I want to do that. So I guess what I'm asking is that has anyone had any success with this, or should I just bite the bullet and create custom pages for the situation of having view-only data and Dynamic Data on the same page? For the record I'm using the Release Candidate version of VS, and my website is an "ASP.NET Dynamic Entities Web Site". Thanks!

Low reads and high duration in sql trace on a proc with dynamic sql

I have a SP which builds a sql stmt including order by etc based on the parameters. I am seeing this proc varies a lot in the duration some where between 2 to 10 seconds, but the reads do not exceed 2000 pages, so indexing may not be the reason here. Could it be parameter sniffing ?

Insert Parent and Child row in ONE Formview Dynamic Data

Hi All,

I am at my wits end and need some help, I have a dynamic data site, and have built a formview for my parent table, Claims (parent), Claims has a child table called DamagedVehicles, I want all the fields on the Cliams table and the fields on the DamagedVehicle to be displayed for insert on the same formsview, when the user fills in all data it should insert the claim and the damagedvehicle at the same time and set the foriegn key on the Damagedvehciles row to the Primary key of the claim, I dont know were to start any examples in VB.net or C# will be greatly appricated. i have been search for 3 days now trying to come to a solution and nothing has worked.

thanks in advance.

controlled insert statements in a stored proc

Get primary key values from insert page and route to details page in a Dynamic Data Domain Service A

I finally figured out how to retrieve primary key values from the insert page template that are inserted via defaults in a SQL Server database. I wanted to get the keys so that I could route the user from the insert page template to the details page template (regardless of whether it’s a custom route or not). There are a number of scenarios where separate insert and details pages are desirable, and routing from the insert page back to the list page is not desirable as Dynamic Data does out of the box. Since I could not find an answer to this problem anywhere with significant effort, I decided I would document it for others, I hope you find it useful - it turns out that it's quite simple under 10 lines of code. I also applied the same idea to a Dynamic Data Entities application which works exactly the same except for two minor changes, I have documented it below as well.

For starters, as is documented plenty elsewhere but bears repeating here, you must first annotate your Entity Data Model with ScaffoldColumn = false for identity columns and guids that get assigned with newid() in thedatabase. This tells Dynamic Data not to attempt to pass a null value from the page through to

Adding Dynamic Rows in ASP.NET GridView Control with TextBoxes and with Delete functionality

In my previous examples, I have demonstrated on how to add dynamic rows in GridView control with TextBoxes and how to save the values into the database. Now, seems that most of the developers are asking if how to add a delete functionality with it. So in this example, I'm going to show on how to delete a certain row in the dynamic GridView with TextBoxes.

Dynamic Data Templates in GridView ASP.NET 3.5

At a high level, Dynamic Data Templates can be seen as a system to very quickly build up a User Interface linked with the relevant data model, immediately enabling you to perform CRUD operations (Create, Read, Update, Delete) on the database using the specified data source. They provide a powerful method for building up these kinds of applications, and I'm going to focus on an overview of what Dynamic Data Templates actually are, and a few ways of customizing them to suit industry needs.

Insert value using Table Value Functions

a real gem in Sql Server 2008. mostly people still using Stored procedure may be they shifted to SQL Server but they are not using TVF right now.

ASP.NET 4.0 Dynamic Data and Many to Many Entity Framework Entities

I did not play much with Dynamic Data controls in VS2008 and just made a cool discovery in VS2010 Beta 2. This may not even be new, but as I'm sitting 30,000+ feet over the Atlantic ocean, I don't have access to VS2008 at the moment to check.

Insert Rows with a GridView

In ASP.NET version 1.x, I used the footer on the DataGrid control to insert new rows by placing a series of TextBox, DropDownLists, CheckBoxes etc. controls on it and then handling a save button. This also works with the GridView in version 2.0 but with one major exception: if your data source is empty, the GridView will hide your footer (and header) and only display the EmptyDataText.
