There is insufficient system memory in resource pool 'internal' to run this query.

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 25, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server

Hi

I have a .NET application executing a stored procedure on a SQL Server 2008 SP1 64 bit instance (version 10.0.2531.0), and getting the following exception:

There is insufficient system memory in resource pool 'internal' to run this query.

Maximum server memory is set to 4096MB. The server has 4GB of physical RAM available, and is running Windows Server 2008 R2 x64.

The SQL Server instance is only consuming approx 1.5GB RAM and there is 15+% physical RAM unused.

The messages in error.log are as follows:

Somebody know what kind of Error is "There is insufficient system memory in resource pool 'internal' to run this query."

SerialPort.Open Insufficient system resource exist to complet the requested service

Hi,

SerialPort.Open call in my application crashes intermittently on only one laptop of all machines with the following exception.

Error. Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.

at System.IO.InternalResources.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode,...)

at System.IO.PortsSerialStream..ctor(String portName,...)

at System.IO.Ports.SerialPort.Open()

I am clueless how to debug into this issue, as this happens only on one of the laptops and that too intermittently.

I doubt it is a corrupt kernel issue or ??!!!

Can anyone point me to a direction that can help me resolve this issue or reveal a hidden bug.

Non-buffer pool memory in the SQL Server memory space on 64-bit system

Is there a way to tell the amount memory not allocated to the buffer pool within the SQL Server memory space on a 64-bit system?
e.g. to the SQL CLR.

Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.

Maximum memory for string ? . System.MemoryOutOfException Occurs when reading the Content of the fil

Hi,

I have a C++ code which reads a file [vtk file - its similar to text file only]. and try to store it in string.

here's the code:

String^ ParallelProjectionRenderer::GetVolumeDataAsString(String^ FileName)

{
    vtkSmartPointer<vtkDataSetWriter> sWriter = vtkSmartPointer<vtkDataSetWriter>::New();

    String^ FileName = "D:\\Users\\...";

    char * sptName = static_cast<char *>(Marshal::StringToHGlobalAnsi(FileName).ToPointer());

    sWriter->SetFileName(sptName);

    sWriter->Register(nullptr);

    sWriter->SetInput(this->dataSource);

    sWriter->SetFileTypeToASCII();

    sWriter->Write();

    sWriter->Delete();

    String^ result= File::ReadAllText(FileName);   [it breaks here with system.memoryoutofexception when the file size is huge]

    return result;

}

this code executes fine when the file size is less than 8mb.

I wanted to know whats the maximum memory allocated to the string.

As a workaround i skipped reading out in C++ code. and i tried to read the file contents in asp.net C# code and stor

The database requires 2739929088 additional free bytes, while only 801185792 bytes are available. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo)*****I have looked at the solution recommended on this forum http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=79848 but I am still baffled as to why it says that I don't have enough disk space?  I ran the RESTORE FILELISTONLY command and it told me that the "size" was 1.4 GB and I've got 60GB left. I am starting to resolve that my .BAK is corrupt.  Are there any other reasons as to why I am unable to restore my backup?Thanks for any help in advance!

I'm running SSRS 2005 on a 2008R2 64bit server with 12GB of RAM.....I must have one heck of a crappy query to run through 12GB of RAM.....where do I check how much memory is being allocated to SSRS?

Thanks.

Query Plan handle is not matching in the query related system DMV's

While troubleshooting a performance issue for a Query (SP) I came across this weired thing that the Query Plan handle is not matching across all the Query related system DMV’s.

Hi,

I have created an application in which there are few forms. Each form has fields which are linked to a backend table/tables. My application is supposed to be accessed by multiple users concurrently. I ran a test where I created a class file in windows application and i ran a for loop in it to call the url of my application. I wanted to test the effect of firing around 200 queries to my query engine.

The test code is :

Insufficient memory for Execute SQL Task.

Greetings. SQL2K5 sp3

I have an Execute SQL Task in an SSIS Package that inserts 154K records from a .txt file. In the future these will have both Inserts and Updates, so changing to a Bulk Insert, etc. is not pssible.

" failed with the following error: "There is insufficient system memory to run this query.". Possible failure reasons: Problems with the query, "ResultSet" property not set correctly, parameters not set correctly, or connection not established correctly."

I can pull the first 2000 Inserts out of the file and run with no issue in either Mgmt Studio, or a different Execute SQL Task, but attempting all of these causes this issue.

Insufficient Memory to continue the execution of the program (Microsoft Visual Studio)

Since Upgrading to SSAS 2008, cannot explore Data or Browse cubes from Vista Untimate machine.

I am developing Cubes for Analysis and Data Mining in Microsoft Visual Studio. I am running Vista 64 Untimate on my PC with quad processors and 8G of memory.
Everything was working in SQL Server 2005 and Visual Studio 2005. When we upgraded to 2008 on the server, I can no longer browse the cubes that I create or explore the data in the tables that I am using. I get an insufficient memory to continue program execution message. I did some searching on the internet, and I think that it has something to do with how 2008 server and Vista use forms.
I have found the following detail on the load:

System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.

I have written a web service and tested it and it works fine from the .asmx test page.

However, when I attempt to call it with a post I get this error:

Why does the test work fine but give a 500 error when I just try and get the response?

(500) Internal Server Error.- System.Net.WebException.

 I need to send SOAP requests to a webservice via HTTP (HTTPS), I have 2 URLS, when I use telnet command using first one (test) I am only getting this message
