Posted By:      Posted Date: September 25, 2010    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net

I am using enterprise library 5.0,vs.net 2008,oracle 9i,odp.net version.

In machine.config I added the line below in

<add name="Oracle Data Provider for .NET" invariant="Oracle.DataAccess.Client" description="Oracle Data Provider for .NET" type="Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleClientFactory , Oracle.DataAccess, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89b483f429c47342"/>

DbProviderFactory pf = DbProviderFactories.GetFactory("Oracle.DataAcess.Client");

above line is throwing an error.

System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException was unhandled by user code

When I created my website I downloaded the Oracle Database Access Component and the Oracle Tools for VS. Everything worked fine in development and running from the VS development server everything works perfect.

However when I deployed the site to IIS the site works fine until I attempt to open a page that has an oracle bound gridview in it. I then received the following error;

ADO.NET: Building a Custom Data Provider for Use with the .NET Data Access Framework

The System.Data.dll assembly in the .NET Framework contains namespaces whose base classes can be used to create custom data providers. These namespaces also define a number of data access interfaces and base classes that let developers create data providers that will interoperate with other custom providers. Using the ADO.NET classes Connection, Command, DataReader, and DataAdapter, writing a provider is easier than writing one for OLE DB. This article explains these classes and their implementation, and how they can be used to write a variety of different kinds of data providers.

Error: ASP.NET Ajax client-side framework failed to load.

Getting some errors after implementing the calendar control.  Error: ASP.NET Ajax client-side framework failed to load.  Here are some screenshots of the relevant info:   Here's the scenario...  I compile code locally, view the pages in a browser locally, and it all works fine.  Another developer sits down at my machine, logs in with AD account (which create a local profile for his account on my machine), and gets these errors when viewing my locally compiled code.  He then compiles the same code on my machine again just for a test, but still gets the same errors.  Can anyone come up with any good reasons for this behavior?  I put a call into MS and they suggested creating a new profile for the other developer with the errors since this appeared to be profile specific.  Tried doing that with the same results.  Help!

After enabling routing, get 'Ajax client-side framework failed to load"

Hopefully someone's come across this before... After I try using routing on my web form & load my page I get a few javascript errors one after the other: Error: ASP.NET Ajax client-side framework failed to load.Error: 'Type' is undefinedError: 'Sys' is undefinedError: Object expectedError: 'Sys' is undefined   After fooling with this for awhile, I created a blank aspx page. It loaded fine. I drop a scriptmanager on the page & the errors above pop up. I've been using ajax controls up until this point, & they work just fine when I comment out my routing code so I know the toolkit is not corrupt. Its gotta be a config issue...just not sure where to go. It's a .net 4 web app on IIS7   Here's the code I added to my global.asax:void RegisterRoutes(RouteCollection routes)        {            routes.MapPageRoute("PageRouting","{department}","~/Subweb.aspx");        }protected void Application_Start(object sender, EventArgs e)        {            RegisterRoutes(RouteTable.Routes);        }   In my web.config I added the assembly: &

System.InvalidOperationException: Internal .Net Framework Data Provider error 12.

I have created an application in which there are few forms. Each form has fields which are linked to a backend table/tables. My application is supposed to be accessed by multiple users concurrently. I ran a test where I created a class file in windows application and i ran a for loop in it to call the url of my application. I wanted to test the effect of firing around 200 queries to my query engine.

The test code is :

namespace MachineGun

static class Program

error: ASP.NET Ajax client-side framework failed to load.

Hi all,

I m getting this weird error "ASP.NET Ajax client-side framework failed to load." in my project which none of my other team mates are getting. Even I tuk the solutoin from the TFS so there is no chances of a code error any where because we all have downloaded the code from the same place in TFS.

N there shud not b anything wrong with the client browser also on my machine because i can browse the same page from the dev server perfectly. Its just breaking only when i m browsing that page on localhost.

We are using .net framework 4.0, windows 7 and we have AjaxControlToolkit version 1.0 in our project.

the only things which might differ in my case as compared to other machine and server are

- Virtual directory.

ASP.NET AJAX client-side framework failed to load

I run a asp.net 4.0 website. (I did the porting from version 3.5 to 4.0)

I receive the following error :

ASP.NET AJAX client-side framework failed to load

in a page where I set scriptmanager EnableCdn="true" and there is a microsoft ajax extension Timer on the page.

this is the code:

<asp:ScriptManager ID="ScriptManager1" runat="server" EnableCdn="true">
<script src="http://ajax.microsoft.com/ajax/jquery/jquery-1.4.2.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

If I set EnableCdn="false" and refer to js locally es:

<asp:ScriptManager ID="ScriptManager1" runat="server" EnableCdn="false">
<script src="../../jsScript/jquery-1.4.2.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

All works fine!

I receive the error only on the production server.

Login failed for user (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)

I have a dedicated server, which runs windows server 2003 web edition. I access the server using remote desktop. I have installed sqlserver express 2005 on the server, along with management studio express. I have problem running the sql script that would install the database. It says that remote connection is disabled by default on sql express 2005. So this is what I did ( as suggested by this article: http://www.datamasker.com/SSE2005_NetworkCfg.htm):
Enable the TCP/IP protocol using the Surface Area Configuration Utility
Make sure the TCP/IP protocol is enabled in the SQL Server Configuration Utility
Make sure the SQL Server browser is started.
Make sure SQL Server and SQL Server Browser are exempted by the firewall on the server machine. sqlservr.exe and sqlbrowser.exe as an exception in the windows firewall

Still no success. Reading various articles on internet, a few suggested i should grant access to certain user by running the following command

The problem is that i keep getting the error login failed, even when i try to connect to the sqlserver using management studio. When I use remote desktop it logins as administrator.
Can someone please

ASP.NET ajax client-side framework failed to load... yet again

Hey Guys.

I'm having this issue with AJAX framework... Yes, I know, few solutions are roaming around but none seems to help me...

especially since the problem occurs on bunch of computers in my library...

On any other computer, the Ajax framework loads just fine with all it's controls... But for some reason I get this "ASP.NET ajax framework failed to load" accompanied by another "sys is undefined" error.

I'm using VS 2008 with AJAX toolkit extender installed, and I'm out of ideas :-? I must get this thing working, and I'm really baffled since it's working on most of the computers but not on these ones. So, maybe other browsers overlook this problem that I'm having but the browsers in these computers don't?

Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks ahead,

Entity Framework and SQLCE - Repeated Logging of data (quickly) causes failed to open errors

Hi all
I am using C# Visual Studio 2010 with EF 4.1. I am receiving some SCADA data that I would like to log to the database, all is well, until the data comes in quickly (not really that quickly)
I parse and massage the data, and then call a "logMessageToDB" function.
now if I call the function again before the last message has been logged, I get an error in my error handler
logging the message caused the following error -> The underlying provider failed on Open.
How can I log the data more quickly? why does it take so long to add a new record.
My function is below, please excuse the uglyness of it (I have just started with C#, there is a bit of a learning curve)
