I was reading articles (mainly targeting SP 2007) that talked about changing the master page so that core.js is only loaded on demand for sake of performance. And for external facing sites with Anonymous users, delayed/asynchronous loading was recommended.
So I decided to take this to heart and began creating a secondary master page for my SP 2010 site. However, when I looked at the code, the both the existing v4.master and dayandnight.master were already set to use RegisterSod for all the js files. So have
things changed with SP 2010 where this optimization is no longer necessary? Please advise.
Thanks in advance,
