I get the following error when I attempt to load the sharepoint site for the first time after IIS has been restarted:

I've written my first WPF 4.0 application. It is a page-based app (not an XBAP app). The user searches for some items on the first page, and selects something found to go to the second page. On the second page users will enter more data,
save it, and returned to the first page to start the process over again.
The majority of my users have no difficulty with this. However, I've got one user who, for some reason, thinks that the back button on the page is meant to go to the top of the page. She'll click on it, which returns her to the first page, and
then she's confused because now she's not at the top of the second page, etc. Long story.
Anyway, I'd like a way of querying her before allowing her to navigate backward, if the changes she's made haven't yet been saved. She would have the choice of either ignoring a message box telling her that data hasn't been saved or not, but she'll
know that she's trying to move off before saving the data, and can stop navigating backward if she realizes her mistake. I've been looking at the events for the Page class, but don't see what I'm looking for. For example, in VB6 here is a QueryUnload
event for the form. One could write logic in that event which would allow you to pop up a message box, asking the user if they wanted to do something (
I am stuck with a unusual Scenario, I have Default.aspx page which contains a Search criteria option and Gridview, After doing particular search result is displayed in Gridview .
When i click on selectedindexchanged event of Gridview it takes me to another page called Details.aspx where there is form in edit mode where the user can update and save the data into a database . In Details.aspx page i have link button which have history.back function which takes me to default.aspx page where i can retain my Search criteria and Gridview Result but my query is when click on Link button i want to call any of the Events of Default.aspx page.
Thanks in Advance
I have the following scenario.
I have four pages and user enters certain information and navigates to the next page. In the last page, when user clicks on submit button it will redirect him to the confirmation page. Once the user is in the confirmation page and clicks on back button, all the fields in the previous pages must be non-updatable.
Note: User can use the back button to view his previous data but not-updatable anymore.
Can you please post some code for the above scenario ?
I'm looking to have a search page where a user will select an item from a listview, then then taken to another page that wil display data based on their original selection.

How would I transfer the variable from the search page to the profile page, and when I work on the profile page, how can I access that variable?

I have some logging that has to be done, which are some database update or inserts.
However this logging is of no importance to the user, so I only want to process the data/logs after the page is completed for the user.As of now, if I process the data while the page is loading, I go from 1.4 to 2.0 speed (server side time processing of code), which is quite a bit comparing it is of no use to the user.
So I want this code only executed after that the page is complete.
I've been checking out Ajax, async pages etc, but the problem is it still gets executed before the page is rendered to the client, which means the client will have to wait longer then it is not being processed.
I've been checking out Threadpool.queueBackgroundWorker, however if I get it correct, this will still be executed before the page is shown to the user, as it has to complete before the prerender.
Then I thought about creating a new thread, and do the processing there, which would not have my page waiting to complete the data/logging.However when I have 100 or 200 users loading pages at the same time, then that would mean I would be creating 200 threads on those loads, which I doubt will be good for performance. So if I want to solve this, I would have to create my own threadpool and only assign for example a max of 40 threads to it which can pr
Strange but true. Any ideas what might be causing this?
Has anyone found a solution that will allow me to have page numbers for paging in a data view web part. For instance, if I have 40 items/rows and I set the paging to display 10 items, I'd like the paging to show 1 2 3 4 rather than showing 1-10 and having
to click next over and over to get to a specific item.
I found this article, but it is for 2003 and doesn't seem to apply to 2007 or if it does I am not able to really figure out how.
Thanks in advance.

I am wondering if the Microsoft Report Viewer control allows for display changes. Say for instance a user wants would like to see all the data requested then another time would like to toggle thru the pages of infomation. So does anyone know if the control allows for display changes from complete view to paginated viewing. I am using MS VS 2008 with ASP.NET 3.0. Thanks for your response.
