The subject of this thread is my question and I am really very sorry, I cannot brief it. I have generated the pdf file which contains text taken as input by various web-form and have saved it in my local drive then sended it to some email addresses. Now I want to know that how can I save it in client computer and send it to some email addresses provided by Client on demand?
I am failed to solve this problem as I don't know how to get INFORMATION OF CLIENT'S LOCAL DRIVE AS CLIENT MAY USES DIFFERENT OPERATING SYSTEM.
Any information will be very helpful to me.
1) I developed an application using .net 2.0 SP1
2) I need to install on windows XP with .net 3.5 SP1 client
When I tried to install .net 2.0 SP1, this installation failed. Installing .net 3.5 (containing .net 2.0 SP1) is not really an option, because of size (>200 MB) and time.
I would prefer to just install .net 2.0 SP1 - which would be sufficient - but thats not possible. Do you have any recommendation?
I have been attempting to pull the client computer name using:
I am getting the load balancer's IP and its name when I use both of those...
Any idea how I might be able to circumvent this issue?
Hello. I have a task to programmatically sumbit/update/delete infopath forms (from .NET console application) to Sharepoint server 2007. The application must work from client computers (without Sharepoint installed). Therefore I've decided to use Sharepoint
web services (Lists.asmx), but after some time of investigation I've figured out that I can't work with Forms Library via Lists.asmx service. Please, advice me the most optimal solution. Some choices that I see:
- use some another web service to work with "Forms Library"
- use "List" (instead of "Forms Library") on Sharepoint (am I right, that I can submit/update/delete forms as file attachments? Am I right that this could be achieved with UpdateListItems/AddAttachment methods of Lists service?)
- implement a server and client applications to use Sharepoint Object Model on server side
Please, advice me the right solution. Thank you.
I need ur help, what i want to do is to execute a url ("To send a text message to client") on client registration but without showing that url page, in short executing url without displaying any page or url to the client.

I'm having problems to obtain the client IP on web service. Here's my scenario:
One server with Windows 2003, hosting the web service using .Net Framework 2.0, with IP 10.0.2.50 and host name ServerTransaction.Other server with Windows 2003, hosting a web application using .Net Framework 2.0, that consuming the web service on ServerTransaction, with IP 10.0.2.51 and host name ServerApplication. Many other computers on the local network (IPs: 10.0.2.80, 10.0.2.81, 10.0.2.82, ...) acessing the web application on ServerApplication.
On the code of the web service I've tried to use HttpContext.Current.Request.UserHostAddress or HttpContext.Current.Request.ServerVariables("REMOTE_ADDR") or HttpContext.Current.Request.ServerVariables("HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FORR"), but always I can only get the IP of ServerApplication (10.0.2.51).
Any idea or tip?
Thanks and sorry for my bad english.
