While Importing Excel 2007 file to Datatable - headerrow problem

Hi there,

I am trying to simply extract an excel data from an uploaded file an put it into a datatable. In this case the excel file has 3 rows but when I fill the datatable I only see row count of 2.

I tried changing HDR:NO; to HDR:YES and vice versa, but no luck.

What am I doing wrong? (Note: the excel file cannot have a  headerrow)

string connstr = "Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0;Data Source=" + pFilePath + ";Extended Properties=\"Excel 12.0;IMEX=1;HDR:NO;\"";
            OleDbConnection conn = new OleDbConnection(connstr);
            DataTable dtTables = conn.GetOleDbSchemaTable(System.Data.OleDb.OleDbSchemaGuid.Tables, null);
            string strTablename = dtTables.Rows[0]["TABLE_NAME"].ToString();
            string strSQL = "SELECT * FROM [" + strTablename + "]";

            OleDbCommand cmd = new OleDbCommand(strSQL, conn);

            DataTable dt = new DataTable();
            OleDbDataAdapter da = new OleDbDataAdapter(cmd);
            //At this point row count=2 which doesn't make sense

Strange for loop problem

Hi, I have this problem with moving a number of documents stored in a SharePoint Document Libray progamatically.The Document library is called "CR" which stores Change Management word documents.  Within this document library there may or may not be a folder which stores attachments (other documents, pictures etc) associated with the CR Document. When a button is pressed this code should see if the CR document has a corresponding folder, and then iterate through each file in that folder and move it to another archive folder.The code I have is as follows:SPList crlist = CR.Web.Lists["CR"]; for (int i = 0; i < crlist.Folders.Count; i++) { if (crlist.Folders[i].Folder.Name == "CR " + CR["CR Number"]) { for (int ii = 0; ii < crlist.Folders[i].Folder.Files.Count; ii++) { crlist.Folders[i].Folder.Files[ii].MoveTo(folderlist.RootFolder.ServerRelativeUrl + "/" + year.ToString() + "/" + WorkflowItem.Title + "/" + crlist.Folders[i].Folder.Files[ii].Name); } } }CR is list item (codument) which this code is working on at the time.crList is the sharepoint docu

Using loop problem in vb.net 1.1

How to convert DataTable objects to IList without using For Each Loop

DataTable result = GetDataSetByQuery(query).Tables[0]
IList<string> li=new IList<string>();

Can we implement through LINQ ?

loop through different sets of rows in a datatable

I have a following scenario -

A use selects criterias from a webform (C#) - a result is then returned from the sql. Say, to start, there are 2000 data returned from the sql and are stored in a dataset.

Now, the user wants to choose a number of drops (up to 6) - with the number of drops selected, they can enter their own quantity in each box. So, they can divide the 2000 records into 6 different drops. With each drop, there is campaigncode created based on the mail date and the job number they provide.

So, now i have the 2000 records in a dataset. What i want to do is loop through the gridview where the user fill out the quantity depending on the number of drops (for ex: if they say 3 drops, then there will be 3 rows in gridview with 3 quantity box to fill).

In the loop, I am getting the quantity, dropdate and the job number. The Campaigncode is created as well. Then, i am looping through the datarow in the dataset; updating the Campaign Code column with the CampaignCode for the number of records thats set in a loop. It works but the Campaign Code is not populated for the next set of records.

Here is the code:

private void AddAEFiels()
        int _totalCount = 0;
        string job = null;
        foreach (GridViewRow row in gvDropDates.

how to loop DataTable.Rows using ForEach activity?

How can I use ForEach<T> activity to look each DataRow in DataTable.Rows?

Seems that DataTable.Rows is DataRowCollection, which does not support IEnumerable.

Merge Replication Infinite Loop & Time Problem

Hi all,

We have merge replication system between Sql Server 2008 R2 64bit Enterprise Edition (As a Publisher&Distributor) and Sql Server 2008 R2 Express Edition (As 800+ Subscribers). We use only "https " method as transfer method. We have 30 tables and we have Joins & Filters. Our system work normally for 5-6 months.

But for last 10 days, sometimes (generally initial snapshot being downloaded), it takes over 14 hours to replicate!! I think an infinite loop is being occured during the process. I trace the publication server with Sql Server Profiler 2008 and here is the trace file.

Lots of times, i see this line "exec sp_MSmergeupdatelastsyncinfo '8C01EA1F-153D-47BC-ACD3-F8439ACB7B76',2,N'Merge completed with no data changes processed .'" (and also other lines which repeat similar to this one) with same/different  Session ID's. And when i first see this line is after 3 seconds the start time of the Process!! And after , 6 seconds again same line, and after 13 seconds again same line and it goes on like this. I think, in fact synchronization process is finished after 5-6 seconds (normally because there is no any data change in fact!) but for some reason, it continues to same process over and over.

Is this a bug or anything else, h

Microsoft's Collaborative Application Markup Language (CAML) Loop

discovered an interesting error recently while working with Microsoft's Collaborative Application Markup Language (CAML) that, surprisingly, had received no ink. Partly what surprises me about this is that the error may require you to rewrite large sections of your code if you haven't previously considered this SharePoint limitation. I'll start with some context, but first of all the error is:

Problem to group radio button across gridview rows

In general no one can easily group or make a single selection from radio button list inside gridview rows. There are a lot of way to make a single or unique selection from list. Here i want to share how i can address this problem in the most easiest way. Googling the problem most of the cases i saw the grouping in horizontal way. Thats why i tried to group the radio buttons in vertical manner. Let i have a requirement like below:

How to bind GridView and DropDownList controls using DataTable object

In .net framework 2.0, you can load a DataTable in memory by consuming a data source using a DataReader. In this version you will find the flexibility in accessing the DataReader means write access code once and use again and again using DataReader. To see the functionality of DataTable consider an example that is created using VS2005.

DataTable - Load from IDataReader - CreateDataReader - ReadXml WriteXml - Free ADO.NET Tutorials

The DataTable in ADO.NET 2.0 has been seriously beefed up and I absolutely love it. Not everything we consume deals with multiple resultsets and requires the ever popular DataSet. With the cool new features in the ADO.NET 2.0 DataTable, we can get many of the cool features in the DataSet without all the extra baggage and memory footprint particular to multiple resultsets.

ASP.Net Caching problem ??

I'm having a problem with an asp.net 3.0 application using a gridview to display data.  The problem seems to be that despite a brand new .selectCommand being sent to the sqlDataSource, the gridview starts displaying data from *someone else's* query.  For example, user A is logged in and will be working fine until a few page submissions later when the gridview data starts suddenly showing information that belongs to another user.

This is my first asp.net application, though I've been working with classic asp and ADO for years so I'm used to sending a SQL string and getting back the results from that string.  Apparently there is a complex caching system which is interferring which I do not at all understand so at this point I just want to stop the server from caching any data whatsoever.  Is this possible?

Any and all help will be much appreciated!!

Could some one tell me whats the Problem with this String Manipulation ??? C#.net
