I am building an application that generates orders for training courses. An InfoPath 2007 form allows the user to select a course name from a drop down list (populated from a SharePoint list). The course code from the same list is used to filter entries from other SharePoint lists that are used to fill in default values on the form such as price. Other dropdowns based on other lists allow the user to identify the customer, venue etc. All pretty basic stuff so far.
Some courses have optional materials (exam, book, course notes) that the user can select a quantity of, so I populate a repeating table from another SharePoint list, using conditional formatting to hide all rows except the ones that have the same course code. They can then select quantity, perhaps override price and it calculates total price. This all works fine but of course I want the data from the repeating table to go back to SharePoint. I do this by serialising the repeating table into a text box using a couple of eval
