Show progress control

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 23, 2010    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net

 Have following code snippet and my question is following:

The progress controls work fine when I "click" Button1 but does not for the "SelectedIndexchanged" in DropDownList1.

Can someone explain why. Thank you.

Mark up code:

form id="form1" runat="server">

<asp:ScriptManager ID="ScriptManager1" runat="server"/>

<asp:UpdatePanel ID="UpdatePanel1" runat="server">
<asp:AsyncPostBackTrigger ControlID="DropDownList1" EventName="SelectedIndexChanged" />
<asp:AsyncPostBackTrigger ControlID="Button1" EventName="Click" />
<asp:Label ID="Label1" runat="server" Text=""></asp:Label>

<asp:UpdateProgress ID="UpdateProgress1" runat="server">
<asp:Image ID="Image1" runat="server" ImageUrl="ajax-loader.gif" />
<asp:Label ID="Label1" runat="server" Text="Loading...."></asp:Label>

calendar control, show onHover

hi all,
is it possible to have a calendar control on an asp.net page that is diplayed only onHover over some area?
Most of the times, the control won't be needed and I would like to save the space for something else. In case the calendar is needed I want it to slide down from under a link or button (most likely it will be an image there).

thanks a bunch,

Use update progress control to change image control imageurl

UPDATE: Apologies for the previous formatting error - hopefully the post is now more readable... Hi I have a button with an image control next to it. Before the button is clicked, the image control "ConfirmedStatusImage" shows a "cancel.png" image. When the button has been clicked (and some other code successfully executed), then I change the imageurl for the "theConfirmedStatusImage" to show a "ok.png" image. Quite a bit of time can often pass between clicking the button and the associated code executing, so I have an ajax update progress control that shows a "bluespinner.gif" image while the page is updating after the button click. At the moment, the update progress updating image appears next to the "ConfirmedStatusImage" control. However, I would like to change things so that when the update progress starts, the imageurl of "ConfirmedStatusImage" changes from "cancel.png" to the update progress image (i.e., the "bluespinner.gif"). Then, when the update is complete, then the image should change to the "ok.png" image. My question is: how can I achieve this? As far as I can tell, the update progress control does not have any events that I can hook into. Also, placing the "ConfirmedStatusImage" inside the ProgressTemplate would not work either, as this only displays

How do I control using ListView when to show the Update/Delete/Insert buttons and when not?

It should be simple, but I didn't found yet how to do it.

There is only one user (Admin with user name and passowrd, he has a cookie so I know when he is watching the page) I would like to show him the Update/Delete/Insert button options in my ListView, but to the other users I don't want them to be able doing this kind of things, So it should be hidden from them.

How I am doing it in C# code?

Showing/Hiding these buttons?

Chart Control doesn't show all labels

I'm trying to create a very simple Column chart.

There are 10 items in X axis, but chart shows only 3 of their labels.

For clarification, I'm trying to show Product sales count in chart. There are 10 products. In X axis, chart shows 10 products but, only 3 of them has a label for product name.

It should be a setting for this, bu I couldn't find it.

Thanks in advance

How to Show / Hide Scrollbars in new 3.5 SP1 Beta WPF WebBrowser Control

I've happily installed the latest Dot Net Framework 3.5 SP1 Beta. I'm using the new WebBrowser control, however I need to be able to hide and show the scroll bars depending on what content I show.

I've spotted this blog by Don Burnett; http://blog.donburnett.com/NewBlog/wpf/using-the-new-wpf-based-web-browser-control-in-net-3-5-sp1/

And there is a snippet of code which shows dependancy properties for the scroll bars..

<WebBrowser Margin="0,49,0,21" x:Name="webBrowser1" Grid.ColumnSpan="3" Source="http://blog.donburnett.com" HorizontalScrollBarVisibility="Disabled" VerticalScrollBarVisibility="Disabled" MaxLines="1"/>

However, when I attempt to use this XAML code in my application, Blend reports that the the HorizontalScrollBarVisibility, VerticalScrollBarVisibility

sqlexpr.exe command line parameters to show progress bar and not show OK confirmation at the end

Using SQL Server 2008 Express SP1 (sqlexpr.exe)

My command is sqlexpr.exe /X:C:\SQLInstall\

It works fine but shows the "Extraction Complete" message box at the end. If I change it to /Q /X:C:\SQLInstall\ then I do not see the progress bar or message box.

I wanted to set the parms such that I see the progress bar but do not see the Extraction Complete OK messagebox. How does one do that?

So in this example, I'm going to show on how to delete a certain row in the dynamic GridView with TextBoxes.
