Form insde a TabPanel and Tab order

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 23, 2010    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net

I have a form I'm trying to insert inside a TabPanel. It's actually code PayPal gave me to insert a buynow button. The problem is that the form tags are causing my tabs to either have extra space on the bottom or top (depending on the tab) in IE. Firefox the problems do not happen and everythind displays correctly. Any idea how I can fix this in IE. It seams as if  IE is leaving part of the other tab visible if I have form tags in the TabPanel.

Boilerplate text on back of Purchase Order form

Can anyone suggest a way I can automaticaly print boilerplate disclaimer text on the back of a Purchase Order form?  The form has a header (with account number and address info and the like) and footer (signature line and bill-to address) which must appear on the front of each page; a single PO can span multiple pages.  I tried playing with embedding text and/or line breaks in the footer (which cause the footer not to print at all), and to turn off the header/footer for the last page (they don't print, but SSRS leaves a blank space where the header and footer would be if they were visible; the resultant body is too small to fit all the boilerplate text).

I'm working in SSRS 2005; perhaps there a way to do this in 2008?

Sorry if this has already been asked and answered; I couldn't find anything searching the forum.

form elements in wrong order on custon newform.aspx

In SharePoint Designer 2007, I created a new .aspx page in which I put SharePoint Control > Custom List Form using the default content type for my for my list.  However, in the UI, when I try to create a new list item, the form fields are not rendering in the correct order.  I double checked by column ordering of the content type and it is correct.  Why is my new custom form not using the same column order?  I shouldn't have to get into the html and reorder things should I?

Order of form items in DispForm.aspx and NewForm.aspx

I created a new list (it is not a content type).  I went into the List Setting and set the column ordering.  However, on my Form pages (DispForm.aspx, EditForm.asp, NewForm.aspx) the form elements are NOT following this order.  Can someone tell me what I have done wrong please?
There are no mistakes; every result tells you something of value about what your are trying to accomplish.

Client based InfoPath form User Roles: Order of Evaluation?

Again, client based (and no, this is a separate question from my other one, figured I'd ask them as separate threads).

To keep the example simple, let's assume I have 3 roles:  Administrator; Supervisor; Everyone.

Administrator is determined by your membership in a domain group, and this works great.  It's at the top of the list, so (according to MS), if it is evaluated that I'm in this role, execution stops, and that's my role.

Supervisor is determined if your name is in the 'Supervisor' field on the form (this works as well, even though my other post indicates it doesn't, but it doesn't in the context I'm using it there, so we'll move on and assume it works here).

Everyone else.

Now, if you are in the domain that evaluates to Administrator, that works great, until someone puts your name in the Supervisor field, then you evaluate to Supervisor.  This is wrong.  According to MS, it should still be evaluating Administrator first, and that is my role.  One of two things is happening:

1. MS is wrong, and it evaluates everything (I don't think this is the case, as I've tried changing the order of evaluation, and it still comes up Supervisor if my name is in that field, even though I'd normally come up as Administrator, based on my domain membership).

2. It evaluates i

JQuery Validate plugin to validate a ASP.NET Form

The first time I used the JQuery Validate plugin, it did not work at all, see JQuery Validate odd behaviour with the ASP.NET Script Manager for reason, but perseverance and stubbornness prevailed and I finally created my first JQuery validated ASP.NET Forms contact form.

How to use getElementById to get the elements in a form

There are many ways of accessing form elements, of which the easiest is by using the cross-browser W3C DOM document.getElementById method. Before we learn more about this method, it would be useful to know something about the Document Object Model (DOM), the concept of HTML nodes or elements, and the concept of containers.

Each time you load an HTML page, the web browser generates an internal representation of the page in the form of an inverted tree structure. Let us look at a simple form. We will use this form later to demonstrate the use of the getElementById method.

Ajax Tab: Each TabPanel with different Color

I have situation like, Each tab panel should display with different colors based on the status. Example:

Completed tabs should display in "Green"

Inprogress status tabs should display in "Red"

Not eligible status tabs should display in "Gray".

Ajax Tab look and feel is very good. So, thought of using the Ajax Tab for my above requirement. I tried to change it. But I am not able to change the color of the each tab.

Is it possible to change the color of each tab in Ajax Tab control? Pleas help me.

If not possible, please suggest any other tab controls to achieve above my requirement.

Note:I already tried with IE tab controls, since it provides me that flexibility to change the color of the each tab. But, It is crashing my browswer. I am not sure about the reason.

I tried Jquery option, since I need to change the tab status dynamically based on the selection made in that same page, I am not able to achieve this one in the JQuery.

function prepareInputsForHints() {
	var inputs = document.getElementsByTagName("TextBox");
	for (var i=0; i<inputs.length; i++){
		// test to see if the hint span exists first
		if (inputs[i].parentNode.getElementsByTagName("span")[0]) {
			// the span exists! on focus, show the hint
			inputs[i].onfocus = function () {
				this.parentNode.getElementsByTagName("span")[0].style.display = "inline";
			// when the cursor moves away from the field, hide the hint
			inputs[i].onblur = function () {
				this.parentNode.getElementsByTagName("span")[0].style.display = "none";

Is it possible with SQL sorted in descending order according to the word?
In Table I shrajeno Mastercard, Visa, Diners etc ...

All Visa are the first in the order, another Mastercard, etc. ...

Something does not work: ORDER BY PaymentType = 'Visa';

I would not want to work in one field PaymentId (111,222,33, etc. ..) and then use the ORDER BY.

Is this possible in such a way?

Linq qry with order by basic questions

I have never tried a group by with linq, now I do and I'm stuck.

I try to convert this sql statement to its linq counterpart :

SELECT COUNT(tb_Mailer_Smses.Id) AS [cnt], tb_Mailer_mailing.Id As [Id]
,SUM( CASE WHEN tb_Mailer_smses.DLRStatus = 200 THEN 1 ELSE 0 END) As [Delivered]
FROM tb_Mailer_mailing INNER JOIN
tb_Mailer_Smses ON tb_Mailer_mailing.Id = tb_Mailer_Smses.MailingId
WHERE tb_Mailer_mailing.ApplicationId = 1
GROUP BY tb_Mailer_mailing.Id

Is there some one who can me show me the convertion process ?

Validate form input - Japanese

 I've searched for several hours and haven't come up with a reference - or even many discussions - of how to go about validating Japanese names, addresses, etc. When I lived in Japan websites, atm's etc. required such info to be entered with the roman alphabet but I've seen some websites that are allowing Kanji/Hiragana/Katakana. I haven't tested many of them for validation but one that I did test (after looking at the page source and discovering no client-side validation) allowed me to put this in the name field: J*=123*go^ Neat!

Any pointers/references? Thanks
