Sharepoint 2010 enterprise, I created a DNS entry and AAM for MySite - qnetmysite.company.local and all worked okay, then the customer wanted to change the URL used to access my site to "myqnet" so we deleted the DNS entry and recreated a new one. I changed
the bindings in IIS and AAM to point to "myqnet.company.local". I can enter
http://myqnet.company.local" and navigate to My News feed, My Profile, My content but when I try to navigate to MYSite the URL it takes me to is the old URL qnetmysite.company.local and internet explorer of course can't find the site. I have done an
IIS reset, flushed the DNS on the local PC, when I mouse over the MySite link I can see the wrong URL.
Please can somebody help me?
When users are inside the discussion list they want a link or button to return to the home page. How do I insert this on the discussion page?
My Sites were originally configured in their own application, but per my client's desire I created a new host site under the primary application under the path http://[sharepointdoman]/my/Profile/ (that is the My Site Host Location). I have configured
Trusted Host Locations with the same. I have even customized the My Site home page. The links to the profile pages are available from any user name reference on the site (i.e. the links when users have authored content), the profiles are searchable, and once
you are in the Site Collection for My Sites, the user's profile links work without a problem.
My issue is, I can't get the "My Profile" menu option to reappear in the Personal Action Menu on the top right. And the My Settings link now directs users to the User Information page under the primary site collection instead of the My Sites site
collection (somehow in the course of trying to correct my issue with the My Profile pages, that link has now changed targets).
I am at a loss. Virtually every reference I have found in other blogs say that as long as I have "Use Personal Features" checked within the User Profile Service for the users, the link should appear. I have rerun my Profile synch, restarted the
User Profile Service and IIS, and nothing seems to take effect.
Now, I do not want to enable users to create My Sites -

When inserting a simple embed of youtube inside the ajax editor, on firefox and chrome problems occur. On the other hand on internet explorer 8 everything works fine. I found this solution http://www.nopcommerce.com/boards/t/4228/bug-in-ajax-html-editor.aspx .
