I have an infopath email based submission form where I am using the Person/Group picker as a way for people to find people in the active directory to CC the form to. I was using the field "DisplayName" in the control and discovered that when you try to CC
several employees, that it would disrupt the rules and you can't send the form.
I want to use the field "AccountID" but it includes the domain before the email alias (for ex. REDMOND\johndoe). Is there a formula code I could use to remove the domain from every email alias. Right now my CC formula is concat(SubmitterAlias, "; ", DisplayName)
Image this scenario:
I have a list of projects, containing general info for a project.
I have a list of tasks, and every tasks is linked to a project using a lookup column towards the projects list (using the title field).
In SharePoint 2010 I can select additional columns of the projects list when adding the lookup column.
I want to filter the list of tasks based on the project manager (person column in the projects list) or on the project status (choice column in the projects list) or on the project year (a number column in the projects list).
When adding the lookup field, I can select the Title column as main reference column, I can add the project year column as additional column, but I cannot select the project manager or the project status columns as additional fields.
How can I add these columns as well in order to filter my tasks list on these fields?
Thanks in advance for any help on this!
Is it possible to set edit permissions on one page in the Pages folder for a single person.ÃÂ We are able to set contributor on the page, but the user is still not able to edit the page properly.ÃÂ If we set contributor on the Pages folder, the user can edit any page in the folder.ÃÂ We want to have the user only edit a single page in the folder.
We are using MOSS 2007 with Publishing feature turned on (of course).

I'm creating a Dynamic Data application in VS2010 and have recently
switched to using a Domain Service to give greater control over the
data presented to the client. I've noticed that the
AutoGenerate<Action>Button attributes on my GridView are being
ignored. The presence of the Edit and Delete buttons appear to be
contingent on the existence of Update and Delete methods on the partial
classes autogenerated in the Domain Service, but i'm not seeing how to
control the generation of the Select button. Is there a way to control this from
within the Domain Service class?
Excuse my question but: it is necessary to involve in our projects something more than just Dynamic Data or should we make use of all other features available in VS2010 (which will make assume taht they had been left out of the Dynamic Data framework) like: wef, poco, azure, wcf, cloud, mvc, silverllight, ajax, odata, agile, workflow, etc.?
Sorry my ignorance, I'm just transcribing names as they come to my mind and of which I don't know anything about

I am trying to figure a way to SSO with ASP.NET membership and role model.
I can implement custom membership provider which consume web services hosting on a server.
With encryption of data. No problem.
But my question is, If I sign on a website with my provider, got my identity object on that application,
could I pass it to another website on another domain which use the same provider and by doing so, do not need to login again?
If this is possible, I am going to implement this solution. Please tell me what's your take on this.
Here is what I want to do:I have a local site in which I want to display data from a remote siteLets say: I want to display data of http://www.abc.com/Default.aspx on my localhostNow Default.aspx requires some post-data which it sends to itself. Thus the __viewstate and __eventvalidation are posted back to it by itself. I want to directly post the data to Default.aspx from localhost without opening Default.aspx and display the Default.aspx's response on my localhost. The WebApp on http://www.abc.com is configured for __eventvalidation i.e. I cannot post-data to it from my localhost without getting a __viewstate from it. I also have to post the current __viewstate of http://www.abc.com/Default.aspx to itselfHow can I accomplish it?
