I am having a MOSS 2007 environment with the follo.
Having Two front end servers – each individual Hyper-V and 1 Index Server.
These WFEs are Virtual Servers with Windows 2008 64 bit OS.
In these 2 WFEs Two sites are deployed (One is Team site and One Publishing site) both are intranet sites.
Now the issue I am facing here is:
Assume that Tower1 and Tower2 are 2 different locations.
We have a VLAN setup Web sites are working in same VLAN[say Tower1] where Servers are set up without any issue.
But Web sites are giving Time out issue when it is accessed from different location VLAN [Tower2], after some clicks or web site navigations and website will be up after few minutes.
But the site is working in different VLAN within in same location[Tower1 or Tower2] where server are set up
When web site is timing out in different location VLAN [Tower2], web site is timing out in all the locations and we will not able to connect to front end servers remotely. But same time we are able to connect to hyper–V and from there, able to
connect to front end servers, web site is accessible from there without any i

We have a MOSS 2007 publishing portal. We are currently facing issues with Picture library created with default picture library template.Whenever we have tried to upload an image to the picture library I am getting "acess denied" error message, though I
have full permission to the site level as well as to the library level.I have seen the pictures are getting uploaded and in "checked out" state. It does not show the "edit properties" page on upload and does not even allow the owner of the image to edit the
properties, gives the same access denied error message.
I have also tried to check in the image files through the "management and content structure", but the images are not getting checked in. Please let me know the root cause of this and how we can resolve this.
I have designed the SharePoint landing page with screen resolution of 1024x768. The layout is desined with 3 column. The header images are designed for fixed size for the above resolution only.
It looks good for the users having 1024x768 screen resol. But for few users who have bigger resolution like 1280x720 & wider screens, the header images still shows the same size and thus the body (three column layout) expanded. As a result there
is an empty space in the right side of the header.
Is there anyway to get the screen to resize automaticlly for all the users?

The MOSS 2007 is fully updated and patched.
I'm having a strange problem and have not been able to track down any useful answers over google.
I inherited a SharePoint site that I am now making some changes to.
I am having problems with one document library. We had custom edit forms on this document library, which I was finding a pain to maintain so I reset them back to the site definition. This edit form now shows only those fields that are associated
with the Document content type (the only content type - I've deleted the others) on the document library. There are other columns on this document library that are NOT associated with the content type that I would like to show on the edit form but they
are not available when I try to add them to the content type via Settings > Document Content Type > Add from existing site or list columns. The select columns from drop down is set to List Columns. The Additional Authors column is just not
I CAN see this field on the all items view for the document library, it is there and populated with data.
Setting the Allow Managed content types radio button to NO does not have any impact on which fields are visible on the form- I still see those same fields that have been associated with the Document content type.
Has anyone else seen this or does anyone have any thoughts??
They will be muc
I am trying to deploy a site collection from our development enviroment into our live enviroment all our other sites site collections deploy fne apart from this one which we dont seem to have chnaged anything.
The deployment job is failing due to the below error
Could not find Feature UsageReportingTemplateList
The database server which our sharepoint installation is currently using is going to be shutdown and a new one is going to be put in production.
I read in some post that the configuration database cannot be moved (while the same operation type is documented for content database). Is this correct?
Isn't there a way by which I can modify my current moss installation to define the use of another sql server for configuration (and then later for content) databases?
Any other workaround or procedure?
Hi, I have a strange time out issue on a simple select statement.
This is my select statement:
Select * from DyGeJournal where ord>=4609635 and Fracsec>=31
The ord and Fracsec is the primary key.
When I ask for the actual excecution plan, he is using a an index seek.
It takes more than 1,5 minutes to get a result back.
When I shrink my database, everyting is running as expected, the query above runs in milliseconds.
After a while (2 weeks) it start agian running very slow.
I have the same logic on other tables, but I don't have the problem on those tables.
What can cause this problem?
The toolbar is different when loading the same RDL (upgraded to SSRS 2008 R2) through report viewer and report manager. In report manager, the toolbar is color blue while when displayed through
report viewer the color of the toolbar is light brown/yellow. Color blue indicates it is using the latest version of SSRS while the other color for previos version. Aside from that, the font of several texts in a table has increased to one point when
viewed via report viewer compare to when viewed via report manager. Is there an existing fix for this?
