Wrappers: Use Our ManWrap Library to Get the Best of .NET in Native C++ Code

Posted By:      Posted Date: August 21, 2010    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net

By now you're probably used to reaching into the .NET Framework using Managed Extensions with your C++ code. But what do you do if you have legacy apps that use older versions of the compiler, or if you want to avoid some of the CLR requirements? Well, you can wrap Framework classes in a native way so you can use them in any C++/MFC app without /clr. Paul DiLascia shows you how.

Unable to evaluate expression because the code is optimized or a native frame is on top of the call

I have some code that gets the exception Unable to evaluate expression because the code is optimized or a native frame is on top of the call stack. I have pasted some code below. I have confirmed that I am in mixed mode debugging, (native and managed). I have also confirmed that I am not 'pre-compiline' b4 debugging. the code is for a 'csv' download. Can someone help? Response.Clear(); Response.ClearHeaders(); //set the conttent type of the file to be downloaded (IF NEEDED) Response.ContentType = "application/vnd.ms-excel"; // initialize the http content-disposition header to indicate a file attachment with the filename Response.AppendHeader("Content-Disposition", "Attachment; Filename=\"" + strFileNameCSV + "\""); //// transfer the file byte-by-byte to the response object FileInfo fileToDownload = new FileInfo(strFileNameCSV); Response.Flush(); Response.WriteFile(fileToDownload.FullName); Response.End();

Help needed in versioning through code in document library?

Hi

I have a situation where i need to move the document form one library(LB1) to another library (LB2) thorugh event handler code. For documents which are not available in LB2 it is working fine but a case where document is already existing in LB2 i need to maintain the version instead , whereas my code is replacing the document already present.

Can anybody help me getting the versioning done through code?

Many Thanks

Kamal

Unzip Single File from a Zip file using Native .NET Code

Using SSIS 2005 can I unzip a "Single File" from a .ZIP file? Please advise.

I know there are many 3rd party tools we can install and use process task to do this or I think VJ# has this inbuilt. But I was looking for some solution using .NET's own "System.IO.Packaging.Package ".

Thanks.

bind a document library to a windows folder without code

Is it possible to bind a SharePoint library to a windows folder, so when a file is added the folder an event is created in SharePoint?

Or do I have to write code to watch the folder and add it via a workflow?

Code Optimized Web Development Profile (VS 2010 and .NET 4.0 Series)

When you first run VS 2010 it prompts you to select an IDE profile to use. The profile you select will configure how tool windows are displayed/docked in the IDE by default and set the default keyboard shortcuts. You can then customize any of these settings by using the Tools->Options menu within the IDE and then override/change them. You can also later reset your profile and pick a different one by choosing the Tools->Import and Export Settings menu command.

call JavaScript - jQuery code from ASP.NET Server-Side

jQuery got so close to me lately that I can see myself adding the scripts to my project almost unconsciously. The thing is, jQuery is very useful for me, in almost all situations and it has been a do or die enhancement for all my project since I first put my hands on it.

Of course while using it, you encounter few situations which need a bit of research to solve, mostly when you are trying to combine it with some other technologies like: UpdatePanels and ASP.NET Ajax. For instance there are many situations when I would like to run some jQuery magic based on some decision that I make on the server side.

Microsoft StyleCop: Source Code Analyzer for C#

StyleCop is similar in many ways to Microsoft Code Analysis (specifically FxCop), but there are some important distinctions. FxCop performs its analysis on compiled binaries, while StyleCop analyzes the source code directly. For this reason, FxCop focuses more on the design of the code, while StyleCop focuses on layout, readability and documentation. Most of that information is stripped away during the compilation process, and thus cannot be analyzed by FxCop.
