webbrwoser disable scrollbars without editing html?

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 22, 2010    Points: 0   Category :WPF
I'm aware the surefire way to turn off the scrollbars in the WebBrowser control is by having the body tag of the html set to <body scrol="no">.
Is there any way to disable the scroll bars it in XAML or code?

HTML Table Disable

I have a HTML Table that I use to place the control in so they display nicely on my Web Form.  I also use the Disable method to keep unwanted users from editing those controls based on their log in information, however I still want the information to be displayed for their review.

The information is displayed for example in the Text Boxes, however when they hit Enter on the form because the table is disabled for some reason the information is lost when I do my update to the SQL Server (the text box shows "")?

Why is it I can see the information on the screen, but the text box shows empty when hitting enter on the form?

Disable horizontal and/or vertical scrollbars on ReportViewer Webpart

Hello everybody,

I have set up SSRS 2008 and SharePoint Foundation 2010 and try to build a website showing all kind of reports. But I do have problems to control the appearance of scrollbars in the webpart.

To make it easier to explain I created a report where all sizes (Page size, Interactive and Text body) have the similar size (width: 100mm and height: 50mm).

Next I made an empty Wiki Site with single column layout and inserted a Reportviewer Webpart based on the generated report. I set the height to 70mm and the width to 120mm.

Here is the result: http://img213.imageshack.us/img

Is there a way to disable the "Convert to XHTML" button in the ribbon editing tools tab?

This page only specifies how to disable source editing: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.sharepoint.publishing.webcontrols.richhtmlfield_members.aspx

ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript Snippet Support (VS 2010 and .NET 4.0 Series)

This post covers another useful improvement in VS 2010 - HTML/ASP.NET/JavaScript snippet support. Snippets allow you to be more productive within source view by allowing you to create chunks of code and markup that you can quickly apply and use in your application with a minimum of character typing.

Visual Studio has supported the concept of "snippets" for VB and C# in previous releases - but not for HTML, ASP.NET markup and JavaScript. With VS 2010 we now support snippets for these content types as well.

Editing the Data in a GridView

In addition to deleting a GridView's underlying data, another common need is to allow end users to edit the data displayed in a GridView. With ASP.NET 1.x's DataGrid control, editing the data is certainly possible, but requires creating three event handlers and writing a dozen or so lines of code. With the GridView and ASP.NET 2.0, it is possible to create an editable GridView without writing a single line of code! All of the necessary functionality is encapsulated within the GridView.

The GridView allows editing on a row-by-row basis. An editable GridView contains an additional column with an Edit button in each row. When the end user clicks on an Edit button that row becomes editable, causing the Edit button to change to Update and Cancel buttons and the other columns to become TextBoxes. The end user can then update one or more column values and click Update to save their changes.

Now that you have created a site with Edit and Details views, how do you enable inline editing in a GridView control? This video shows you how, and also touches on routing.

Maintain HTML Radio Button Selection Inside GridView After Postback

Long time ago I wrote an article about getting the value of the selected RadioButtons inside the GridView control. The code did not addresssed the postback issue which means that the selected radio button was cleared after the postback occurs.

Custom Editing Behavior for DataGridView TextBox Columns

For various reasons I'm using a DataGridView instead of a ListView, and while configuring the DataGridView to look like a ListView wasn't much of a problem, there's one thing that got on my nerves, which is the behavior of textbox cells in edit mode: It is much too easy to leave the edit mode accidentally, simply by pressing the cursor keys at the wrong time. For example when the text caret is positioned behind the last character of the textbox cell content, and you press the right arrow key

Rendering ASP.NET Script References into the Html Header

One thing that I've come to appreciate in control development in ASP.NET that use JavaScript is the ability to have more control over script and script include placement than ASP.NET provides natively. Specifically in ASP.NET you can use either the ClientScriptManager or ScriptManager to embed scripts and script references into pages via code.

Gridview with a dropdown list for editing

Hello. I am working through Scott Mitchell's ASP.Net in 24 hours book. I am finishing the photo album project.

I have a GridView that retrieves a list of uploaded photo rows for the logged-in user.
The GridView is for editing and deleting rows.

The photo Category field in the Gridview is a dropdown list. The text entry field was deleted after converting this field to a Template.

Like the uploaded photos, these Categories are user-specific. They are created in another web page.

Users also have the option to select "none" for the category when they upload an image.

For the GridView:  The Category ID field's ItemTemplate and EditItemTemplate both have a " - None - " choice added to them.

I am getting this error:

'pictureReadOnlyCategories' has a SelectedValue which is invalid because it does not exist in the list of items. Parameter name: value

Note: The ID for the ItemTemplate for that dropdown list is the ID listed above in the error: "pictureReadOnlyCategories".

Am I missing some step in this process of changing a GridViews text field to a dropdown that can be used for editing? I went through the book's instructions three times.

Here is my code for the dropdown list and a screenshot of the Design

Embed Youtube inside Ajax Html Editor- problem

When inserting a simple embed of youtube inside the ajax editor, on firefox and chrome problems occur. On the other hand on internet explorer 8 everything works fine. I found this solution http://www.nopcommerce.com/boards/t/4228/bug-in-ajax-html-editor.aspx .

My question is where do I find the DesignPanel.pre.js ?

Re-positioning an HTML container with javascript onresize with a Master page.

I have an HTML <div> container that I float to the right of a gridview.  When the browser window is maximized, it looks fine.  When minimized, the gridview positions below the floating container and most of the data is pushed off the bottom of the browser - you have to scroll down to see it.

If I position the floating container above the gridview it looks fine in a minimized window, but looks real bad when maximized.

What I want to do is use a javascript: onresize event to re-position the floating container up or down depending on the window.inner.width AND do it with a Master/Content page structure AND do it for only the one page where needed.

I can capture the onresize event and display the window dimensions but haven't figured-out how to do it with a Content page that still uses the Master page.  I think I'm having a very "thick" week...

VS 2010 HTML validation "in CSS" option - where the hell is it?

In VS 2008 there is a very useful feature of background HTML validation - it checks if CSS class name is valid i.e. it exists in one of the linked css files. But VS 2010 Express does not do that any more. And the relevant setting in Options->Text Editor->HTML->Validation->in CSS is not there. Ok, maybe they made it paid for option? VS 2010 Professional? Not there. Or maybe VS 2010 Ultimate? Not a trace.

1. am I blind?

2. they decided it is too convenient to use and removed it?

3. they will "introduce" it in SP1?

What is going on? That one thing made me move back to VS 2008 web developer.
