How to instantiate keep alive variables in a WCF? We have a WCF service which interacts with a dll. The interaction with the dll is identified by a ID. This id is generated at runtime, and needs to remain same for all interactions with the dll.
Now whenever a client requests a wcf method, the wcf will in turn call a dll, with the ID.
So, a variable, which can stay alive throughout the requests needs to be instantiated.
If 2 clients call the WCF one ID each must be instantiated and then the same ID should be used for Dll calls.
We do not wish to pass on the ID to the client, coz this is just between the dll and WCF. Is there a way through which WCF can track unique requests, as in requests generating from same client or different client? Or is WCf able to store client info?
