Trying to get to a page via an email link. Could the sitemap be stopping this?

I had this working.  I would email a link to a page (i.e. Work.aspx), and using the code below, the user would be routed to the login page and then sent  to Work.aspx after logging in.

But since I added a site map this isn't working.  I always go directly to my home page.  If I set Work.aspx as my start page in VS it works, but not if I click a link in the email.

Any thoughts?

 protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)

        if (!Page.User.Identity.IsAuthenticated)

            Response.Redirect("~/Login.aspx" + "?ReturnUrl=~/Work.aspx");

    protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
        if (!Page.User.Identity.IsAuthenticated)

Sending an email with a link that verifies an id in sql server

I have an online job application program that the user fills out and submits the information to our database and on the last page they give there email address so that we can send them an email that has a link that is associated with the ID that's autogenerated by the sql server database when the user submits the information, when the link is clicked it verifies to the database to keep the information submitted by that user per their autogenerated ID. Below is the code that i've written to send the email I have the link setup to go to yahoo right now but I am not sure how to get this to send the autogenerated link that is associated with the ID that is autogenerated already in my sql server database.Private Sub SendMail()        Dim emailSender As SmtpClient        Dim theMessage As MailMessage        Dim EmailAddress As String = txtEmailAddress.Text        emailSender = New System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient("ppicom")        theMessage = New MailMessage        theMessage.From = New MailAddress("PeerlessProductsInc @mail.com")        theMessage.To.Add(EmailAddress)        theMessage.

Link ASP.NET Membership DB to my application's DB

Hi all,I'm trying to convert an ASP application to a .NET one. In the old ASP application methodology we have a "users" database with all our users and is indexed by an auto-increment integer which is used across our database (~25-30 tables) relationally. I'm recreating the tables from scratch, so no need to worry about merging data. Let's assume we just have a large relational database that we want to connect to the .NET security model.Now - with .NET, there is the concept of members and roles being handled for you. I took a look at the aspnet_Users table and it shows a GUID for members I created using the ASP.NET Configuration tool. Basically I need advice on how to link the ASP.NET user's login to my custom database. Any tutorials/links are welcome, I'm not afraid of reading!It would be great for the Context.User.Identity.Name to store the auto-increment integer PK as well because that could be used in all of my SQL queries to grab information for given users. Any ideas on how to do this?Thanks very much! Hope to hear from you soon.-Mikep.s. I'm trying to write it as an MVC2 application with a lot of Linq to SQL to keep it all strongly typed and awesome.

Passing credentials from Sharepoint application to Reporting Server

Hi, Think of an environment where SSRS is deployed in share point integrated mode. There is a sharepoint application which is using user authentication (not windows authentication) for validating the login credentials of users using the application. There are some reports presented as web parts in the sharepoint application. Now, how should the user credentials be passed from Sharepoint application to Reporting services and how should they be validated? How the user credentials from sharepoint to be passed to report server and validate the permissions before showing up the report? Please let me know.  Phani Note: Please mark the post as answered if it answers your question.

Passing value from one web application to another hosted in different server

I want to redirect from one aspx page to another aspx page of different application. Both applications are hosted in different application servers. I want to pass a value from one application to another. I tried - 1. Response.redirect with Query string - But query string is not secure as it is visible to user in browser. 2. Cookies - This is also not a secure way. Again if the cookies are disable in the browser it may not work. 3. Server.transfer - In different web application we cant use server.transfer. Please provide any easy solution how to achieve this.  I dont want to display the values to the user as it is confidential data.

SharePoint - Passing Dataview Row Arguments to a C# function from a button

RE: SharePoint - Passing Dataview Row infomration to a C# function I've done this with a asp.net Gridview. but does anybody have any examples on how to pass row information from an asp.net button in  SharePoint Dataview rows to an inline C# function? the button Repeats as follows: <asp:Button runat="server" Text="Delete" id="Delete{@ID}"  OnClick="DeleteDoc()"/> My function looks like this: void DeleteDoc(object sender, EventArgs e) { } I tried adding another parameter but get: No overload for 'DeleteDoc' matches delegate 'System.EventHandler' Thank you.

A Href removing space when passing a string in a email

In an email action I'm building a string using an <A href.  I'm working with a list called Document Sets and also a column called Document Set.  I'm passing to a page the current document set in order to filter a web part.

Here is the example

<A href="http://test.net/sites/r3bs/DocSetPAHO/Site%20Pages/dynamic.aspx?DocumentSet=<%Document Set%>">Click here to review the items.</A>

The problem is that when the document set column data contains a space (such as Company Overview), the email removes the space between Company and Overview (as seen below).  If I add the Document Set column to the email directly it displays fine with the space

[%Document Sets:Document Set%]

I've tried storing the value to a workflow variable but it still removes the space in the actual email.

Can't send email from web application

 I get error when sending email from web app:

 The server rejected one or more recipient addresses.

 please try again in 900 seconds

I have very simple contact us page to send inquiry email.Following is the code behind file

protected void btnImage_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
            MailMessage msg = new MailMessage();
            msg.BodyFormat = MailFormat.Html;

            string strBody;
            msg.To = "info@xxxxx.com";
            msg.From = email.Text;

How can I edit the link to the document in a Approval Task email?

With the 2010 out of the box Approval workflow, the emails and tasks work just great, however, when a user receives the email, the instructions look like this:

To complete this task:
2. Perform the specific activities required for this task.
3. Use the Open this task button to mark the task as completed. (If you cannot update this task, you might not have access to it.)

Currently, we are using a friendly url for our users, in order to access their SharePoint site.  The <LINKED DOCUMENT> when clicked on, gives them an error and doesn't take them to the actual document in the SharePoint site, because of the fact that we are using a different url name for the site.

If there any way I can edit this auto-generated email so that the links will always be to the friendly url of our SharePoint site with each document?

Thanks in advance!
