Adding an Image to a StackPanel dynamically

I feel silly asking this, but so far I haven't been able to solve this problem by myself, so here goes.

I'm trying to dynamically add a StackPanel to a Canvas, which works, but I also need to add an Image to the same StackPanel, which does not yet work. My code for this looks like this:

public void CreateInfo()
  StackPanel info = new StackPanel();
  TextBlock authorBlock = new TextBlock();
  TextBlock extraBlock = new TextBlock();

  info.Height = 500;
  info.Width = 500;

  authorBlock.Text = "Some text to test.";

  System.Windows.Controls.Image img = new System.Windows.Controls.Image(); // I needed to disambiguate Image.
  img.Source = new BitmapImage(new Uri("/Trex;component/Resources/icons/fire.png", UriKind.RelativeOrAbsolute)); // fire.png is something like 24 x 44 pixels.

  Canvas.SetLeft(info, 100);

Image Color Change Dynamically on the fly, is it possible?

Hey All,

I have created an aspx page that is displaying user profiles, and on that page I have an asp.net image control that I dynamically populate at runtime based on the users profile image.

I have created several themes, just modifying css to display the profiles with different background and different layouts.

For fun I have created one theme that is kind of like the matrix, and I would like to be able to take the users profile image and change it to a 'green scale' so to speak, or even just a straight up green color, more so this one #20f380. The profile images are just jpg, and are already cartoonish so they should change to green without the image looking to bad.

Is there a way to use code behind to change an image's colors?

C# or VB is fine, currently I've not been able to find any tutorials that work for me, or are close to what I am trying to do.

cannot create asp.net image control dynamically.

Dear All

I wish to create a series of ASP.net control images in a DIV of a web form. using the ASP.net IMAGE or IMAGE BUTTON object

so far I have:

Dim TargetVignette As Image
TargetVignette = New Image
TargetVignette.Width = 200
TargetVignette.Height = 200
TargetVignette.Visible = True
TargetVignette.ImageUrl = "c:\2010.jpg" 'this is 100 x 75 px
TargetVignette.EnableViewState = True
'TargetVignette.CssClass = "vignette" 'not used yet
Gallery.Controls.Add(New LiteralControl("toto")) 'debug only

Where Gallery is the name of my asp placeholder.

This code DOES Create the Text "TOTO" but does not create image "Targetvignette"

the code works ok with BUTTON object as opposed to Image.

I have manually created a image with the toolbox using exactly the same credential, this displays OK.

it does not catch any exception it just doesnt display anything on the webpage.

I can create all sorts of control but not image

[Image button] is not that

Silverlight - Dynamically generating a table for datagrid

Hi there,

I am parsing a table in my Silverlight application. Lets say the table is as follows

*   A   B   C

A   1   2   3

B   3   4   6

C   2   2  2

I do not know before hand the column names, how many columns there are so, as far as I know, I can only see a solution to presenting this as a table with the traditional unbound data strategy as in windows forms.  However, my solution is in Silverlight, so I necessarely need to bind to an object.  But as said, I do not know the object properties, so I got stuck.  Please help; this seems like it should be very simple to display a parsed table.

Many thanks.

Built-in Functions - Text and Image Functions in SQL Server

Text and image functions operate on TEXT, NTEXT and IMAGE data types. These data types are deprecated with SQL Server 2005 and should be replaced by VARCHAR(MAX), NVARCHAR(MAX) and VARBINARY(MAX) when possible. Alternatively you can also consider storing large string values using XML data type. Text and image functions are nondeterministic.

Future versions of SQL Server will not support TEXT, NTEXT and IMAGE data types. Columns with TEXT / NTEXT data type do not support commonly used string functions such as LEN, LEFT, RIGHT, etc. Furthermore, due to the large size of TEXT data you''re likely to see performance issues if you store such data in the database. However, at times you can''t help but use the TEXT / NTEXT / IMAGE data types (for example when supporting 3rd party databases when you cannot change the schema) - this is when text and image functions come in handy.
