Hi Expert,I am unable to create dynamic menu from database. I have made two tables for this work.First table is Menu which stores menu id and its relevant name.MId Text------------1 File2 Edit3 View....Second table is subMenu which stores submenus which will be linked to the menu table with menu id.SId Text MID-------------------1 New 12 Open 13 Save 14 Cut 25 Copy 2
the menu should be created dynamically from the database, each menu should be displayed in single row
when we click on a menu the submenus are displayed in rows that in expand & contrast form
how to design & develope this page
In the out of the box approval workflow, the fields below are used to dynamically create a link within the email for a user to access the item/document to be reviewed:
Review [%TaskProcess:Item Title%].[%Variable: InternetLink%]
If I create an approval workflow and modify the text around what comes out of the box, the link works. If I add those exact fields (period and space included) via the "Add or Change Lookup" box (field selector), it doesn't work. It displays the title
as a link but without a document extension of XML (for Infopath form for instance).
I don't want to have to delete my workflow and recreate it just to get that link to work.
Any ideas on why the "[%TaskProcess:Item Title%].[%Variable: InternetLink%]"
only works when it is created out of the box versus building the string manually ?
I just created a site using the SharePoint Bug Database Template. I would like to know how, in the Quick Launch, they are able to link directly to pages that display different views of the bugs list. My understanding is that the only way to do
this would be to create a blank .aspx page, and drop a web part on it that shows the list, then in modifying the web part, tell it what view to display. I did this in another site I built.
However, in the Bugs site, I don't see any indication that it was done that way. When looking at All Site Content I don't see a list of web pages (with the webpart) that display these views. Also, the modify webpart drop down arrow is not visible
on any of the pages.
Was this done in a different way on this site template? I'd be grateful if anyone could tell me how it was done, so that I might use that method next time around.
Hi guys, i need your help.
Currently i'm designing a gridview which could present an flv video file which was located on the database using sql. I use jw player to present the video (http://www.longtailvideo.com/players/jw-flv-player/)
Therefore, on the <itemtemplate> i use this code to embed the video:
<object classid='clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000' width='400' height='300' id='single3' name='single3'>
<param name='movie' value='../data/flashPlayer/player.swf'>
<param name='allowfullscreen' value='true'>
<param name='allowscriptaccess' value='always'>
<param name='wmode' value='transparent'>
<param name='flashvars' value="file=<%# "../data/uploadedData/video/flv" + Eval("videoUrl") %>">
Hi,I have recently started to learn Dynamic Data Web application.
I have built a Dynamic data Website with LINQ data access layer. When the LINQ data context was built over an existing SQL2005 database, the connection string for that database was correctly, automatically, placed into the Settings and .edmx Code for the project. It works, but it's a "static" connection string.
I would like to be able to use this one LINQ data access layer against both test and production databases without having to manually change and recompile the project's connection string each time. Is there a way to pass/change the User connection string to the LINQ data access layer at Run Time so that destination database changes? Ot in Other words How can user can choose a database from a list of databases.Thanks,Vinod
I need some help very urgent. I need create
a table with Textboxes dynamically according to the database table.Example:
we have different articles in a database like cars, jewelery, boats.
The data related to these articles is different in the tables. I have to
show that data in a textboxes and let the user change those data and
update. I can do the update and reading the data from database. But the
problems is for each item the no.of columns and rows will differ.
My task is I need to get the data according to the use selection in
the table with textboxes. I dont know which container (gridview,
formview or etc) will suites for my requirement. please send me any
sample code or any tutorial related to this. I am in real need guys.. I really appriciate your help.
Note: showing the data in a table should be a constraint. Because I should show data row wise (each row contains 3 textboxes and 3 labels (DB table column names))
I have a grid, in that i have edit button column, If user wants to click on the edit button I need to open a modal window to display the records for the particular row data from database.
And also I am using SMS form to send sms, If user click on the send button I need to open the modal window and to dislpay a preview of the sms from the textbox of the same form.
Please help me to achieve these two functionality.
Thanks in advance.

Can someone tell me if it is possible to link to photos urls (photos not stored locally) on the web in an Access Web Database table?
We want photos to be displayed in when the database is published to SharePoint, but would prefer not to host the photos on our server.
If this is possible - I'd love to know how, and a quick explanation of what code will make this work.
Thanks in advance!
I have an Access database on a 2008 server (64 bit), and notebooks with 32 bit win7. The program using the mdb is written in delphy, and running on my notebook, and working on data extremely slow. What can be the problem?
The database connector is an ODBC linked network drive.
On that same configured PC with XP it works normally.
