I am getting following error while invoking a callback method.

"The operation 'NotifyPackageDownloadProgress' could not be completed because the sessionful channel timed out waiting to receive a message.  To increase the timeout, either set the receiveTimeout property on the binding in your configuration file, or set the ReceiveTimeout property on the Binding directly."

Can anybody help me how to resolve this issue.

Thanks & Regards,

processing measure group : memory error : the operation cannot be completed because the memory quota

Hi, I'm stucked with this problem. Untill last week, the cube processed without any problem. Since last week, I'm getting this error. I have been searching in different forums, and I tried some suggestions, like changing memory limit properties, ... It is getting worse.. So I reset all properties to default again. I am running SQL-Server + MS-AS 2005 SP2 on server with 4GB of memory. This is a dedicated server, nothing else is running on it. The fact table has +/- 14 million records, several dimensions en 2 measure groups. I don't have problems to process the dimensions, but when I try to process the cube or the measure groups of that cube separately , the error persists. I have changed the datasource view, and replaced the fact table by a Named query. Even when I put a 'WHERE datapart( year , fact_date ) >= 2009 ' clause to reduce the number of records to +/- 5 million, I'm still getting the error. I don't understand what is wrong, the cube always processed since +/- 2 years. As I said, I have found a lot of this kind of Issues on different websites, I have been trying to change some properties. But this still does not solve the problem. Could it be that MS-AS settings are corrupt somewhere ? Is it a good idea to re-install MS-AS 2005 + SP1 + SP2 ? Or is there another reason possible ? I really appreciate any kind of help, because I'm

Hi All: We have installed SQL Server 2008 Integration Services in a Windows 2003 machine. RAM capacity is 4GB We have a created a sample project with necessary data source, data view, cubes and dimension definition. When we try to build the cube, it is throwing the below exception Memory error: The operation cannot be completed because the memory quota estimate (1504MB) exceeds the available system memory (1331MB). We even tried with data view of few columns but encountering the same error. How to fix this issue? Please help Regards, Swami

System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The operation completed successfully

Hi,      I'm calling a .Net 1.1 Infragistics calender windows control (32 bit) from a html page (old code) in Windows 2008 Server R2 (with WOW64) . This control was working on all operating systems including Windows 7 and when loaded in Windows 2008 Server R2 it throws up the exception given below. I'm able to load the control sometimes, say 5% successful (only the first time when I load the application) and the remaining 95% it throws up the exception dialog box (sometimes it happens when I load the application for the first time too). Not sure whether this is the right forum, if it's not please direct me to the right forum. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The operation completed successfully    at System.Drawing.BufferedGraphicsContext.CreateCompatibleDIB(IntPtr hdc, IntPtr hpal, Int32 ulWidth, Int32 ulHeight, IntPtr& ppvBits)    at System.Drawing.BufferedGraphicsContext.CreateBuffer(IntPtr src, Int32 offsetX, Int32 offsetY, Int32 width, Int32 height)    at System.Drawing.BufferedGraphicsContext.AllocBuffer(Graphics targetGraphics, IntPtr target

Win32Exception: The operation completed successfully

I'm getting this strange error sporadically in my program, usually while debugging. It doesn't appear to be occurring inside my code; has anyone experienced this before, or know what could be causing it?

Random Request channel timed out Issue,

Hi all,

I have deployed an wcf service in production environment and 2-3 times a day i am experiencing issue like

The request channel timed out while waiting for a reply after 00:01:00. Increase the timeout value passed to the call to Request or increase the SendTimeout value on the Binding. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout.

I am handling dispose of proxy properly and i am not retuning any bulk data.

using (XXX Client = new XXX())

response = Client.Disposition(ClientID, creden, Detail, DupeCheckNeed);

catch (FaultException<Exception> GenEx)

throw GenEx;

if (Client != null){

Here is the client side binding

        <binding name="WSHttpBinding_ITargusCallService" closeTimeout="00:01:00"
                    openTimeout="00:01:00" receiveTimeout="00:10:00" sendTimeout="00:01:00"

Exception Details: System.Net.WebException: The operation has timed out

Hi, I have a web page that uses System.Net.HttpWebRequest class that used to work perfectly fine for 2 years, and then all of a sudden I started to get the following error.

[WebException: The operation has timed out]
System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse() +5314029

Also, I tried the application on my local machine and it works fine, do you think it is a setting change on my hosting server?
I already tried the response.close and it didn't work.

The XML for Analysis request timed out before it was completed

I looked at related posts in the forum, but they dont seem to have the answer I am looking for.

I am executing an MDX query using OpenQuery and LinkedServer from SQL Server Management Studio . Execution timeout is set to 0 for both SQL Server and Analysis Server (under Tools->Options->Query Execution).

I get this timeout error after arounf 15 minutes :

OLE DB provider "MSOLAP" for linked server "MyLinkedServer" returned message "XML for Analysis parser: The XML for Analysis request timed out before it was completed.".

Msg 7320, Level 16, State 2, Line 1

SQL Server is waiting for an internal operation to complete

When saving a database diagram, SQL Server 2005 frequently "hangs" for an indeteminate amount of time and displays the message "Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio is waiting for an internal operation to complete. If you regularly encounter this delay during normal usage, pelase report this problem to Microsoft."

For one thing, this is an extremely lame and unhelpful message, as it gives no clue as to specifically *who* to report the problem to (Microsoft is pretty big, after all), and an "internal operation" is sufficiently ambiguous to mean anything.

I cannot find any references to this problem, and it happens frequently enough that I'm finding it very difficult to use Management Studio for editing diagrams. When this problem occurs, the "hang" sometimes last for several minutes, but frequently last longer than 20 minutes, after which I simply kill the process in Task Manager.

I have also experienced the problem when simply saving table modifications, though less frequently than with diagram edits.

Does anyone know what causes this, or have any resolution for the problem?

A lengthy operation in an ASP.NET web service

I've built an ASP.NET web service with .NET 2.0 (an asmx file). I invoke a web service method using Ajax. The method takes a substantial amount of time to execute (5 minutes to 1 hour). I believe it's not a good idea to "hang" the web request for so long.
I'm wondering if the web service method could spawn an additional process which in turn would execute the lengthy operation and notify the web service once the operation is completed.
Are there any good practices regarding this kind of functionality?

We're having a problem with the Visual Studio 2008 RTW version of the web deployment projects on a colleagues machine. The project works fine if I run it on my machine, but when he tries to run it on his machine he gets:

Wicked Code: The SQL Site Map Provider You've Been Waiting For

Now that ASP.NET 2.0 is a shipping product, it seems appropriate to revisit an issue that tops the new features wish lists of many developers: a SQL ServerT site map provider.
