I'm in the process of replacing a menu using Jquery and a sharepoint list.The menu data would be retrieved from webservice. But the problem i have is where to place my js menu script the master page. I tried disabling the asp: menu and the content place holders by setting visible to false and the place my div with the new menu just before the first content place holder. Add "New Calendar" to the site actions menu in SharePoint 2010

Hide top menu search bar in Sharepoint server 2010

Hi I've tryed this guide to hide the top menu search bar with Sharepoint Designer in Sharepoint server 2010 ------------------------------ Open SharePoint Designer          Open the site in SharePoint Designer   On the left navigation pane, click on “All Files” (bottom item on menu)   Click on the folder “_catalogs”   Click on the folder “masterpage”   Click on the file “v4.master” An overview will open Make sure that you have selected “Split mode” viewing          Click on “Edit file” (I hope this is correct, because I have a Dutch version)          Select “Skewer click” on the ribbon          When you click on a item, you are presented with a submenu. I have created a custom menu using basic HTML <ul> tags in SharePoint 2010. I have set Anonymous access to the entire site but I don't see the menu unless and until I sign in. For a anonymous user the default Global Navigation is being displayed even though I have deleted the navigation through SharePoint Designer.

Enable/Disable "New Folder" ribbon menu in document library in sharepoint 2010


I am new to sharepoint 2010. I want to disable "New Folder" server ribbon menu under document library only if I am at level greater than 2 in document library. If level is <=2 "New Folder" ribbon menu should be enabled. How I should achive this enable/disable feature of existing "New Folder" menu item?
