Posted By:      Posted Date: September 21, 2010    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net

Could someone tell me why the asyncfileupload doesn't work the way it used to, are these controls even tested?  The following used to work, but not any more.

<%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="Default.aspx.cs" Inherits="_Default" %>

<%@ Register Assembly="AjaxControlToolkit" Namespace="AjaxControlToolkit" TagPrefix="asp" %>

how to refresh image updated with AsyncFileUpload

I've created an AsyncFileUpload device that uploads an image in ListView but it doesn't refresh on the page until the page is manually refreshed. Any ideas on how to accomplish this? This is the applicable code:

In ListView control:

<asp:UpdatePanel ID="udpPhoto" runat="server">
        <span style="text-align: center; vertical-align: middle; font-size: 7pt;">
            <br />
            <asp:Button ID="btnEPhoto" Font-Bold="False" TabIndex="160" Text="Upload/Change Photo"
                UseSubmitBehavior="False" OnClick="btnPhoto_Click" runat="server" />
            <br />
            <asp:Label ID="lblEPhoto" runat="server" Font-Bold="True" Text="Uploaded Photo:" />

Ajax Asyncfileupload doesn't work as soon as I put it in a control

Hi guys,

I can't get my <ajax:asyncfileupload> working and I don't see why...

When outside any panel or table it is working well, but as soon as I put it in a <asp:panel> or table I get a strange error which seems to be on client-side but I don't understand what's happen here. Here is the code and code-behind and Javascript.

Here's the error:

Here's my front-code:

<%@ Page Language="VB" MasterPageFile="~/masterpages/mpSqueletton.master" AutoEventWireup="false" CodeFile="frmAdmGestSocietes.aspx.vb" Inherits="adm_frmAdmGestSocietes" title="Untitled Page" %>

Login control is suddenly broken in IE7 but works perfectly on Firefox (It works on both browsers lo

Hey Guys,

 I'm new around and I thought this is probably the best place to help me solve my dilemma, I am developing a website for almost a year now and the login control was implemented a logn time ago, however all of a sudden it will not authenticate on Internet Explorer 7 when the application is published, it doesn't even provide a message that authentication was unseccssful or throws any error, it just refreshes the same page. however this problem doesn't occure when I try the same website on FireFox 2.0...Also when I run the page locally on Cassini it work great on both browsers...This is one of the weirdest errors I have ever faced. what could have gone wrong on the server side to cause this? knowing nothing changed on the server-side...I'll provide a snapshot of the login control below

<asp:Login ID="LoginControl" runat="server" BackColor="Trans

Asyncfileupload doesn't work in webusercontrol

I'm having a problem with a Webusercontrol that has an asyncfileupload control. My websusercontrol is being loaded in a placeholder control that's wrapped by an updatepanel.Due to asyncpostback, I have to load and clear the placeholder's controls. The webusercontrol works flawlessly, except the asyncfileupload, which doesn't want to upload at all. I can assure that the code is without error, because I used to have the webusercontrol running as an *.aspx site. I guess that the problem is the fact that the control has to be cleared and reloaded with every asyncpostback ?

Copy/paste broken in SSMS 2008 R2

After uninstalling an SSMS addin (from Red Gate), my copy/paste functionality in SSMS broke -- don't know if it's correlated.  As documented in the bug https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/126743/copy-paste-stop-working-in-sql-2005 it seems that paste is working fine, because it works when I copy from other programs.  When I paste from SSMS, though, I can't paste anywhere.  It's as though SSMS clears the clipboard and that's all she wrote. Anyone else seeing this problem? -matthew

Are ModalPopupExtender and AsyncFileUpload.OnClientUploadComplete incompatible?

A ModalPopupExtender works fine with a panel as the target control and the panel has an AsyncFileUpload control. However as soon as AsyncFileUpload.OnClientUploadComplete is set to something (e.g. onclientuploadcomplete="alert('hello');"),  the panel is not hidden on page load.Is there any compatibility issue here?

Cannot get Asyncfileupload to fire UploadComplete event... :(

hey everyone!I cannot get the asyncfileupload to fire the uploadcomplete event at all. I did a test:    Protected Sub AsyncFileUpload1_UploadedComplete(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As AjaxControlToolkit.AsyncFileUploadEventArgs) Handles AsyncFileUpload1.UploadedComplete         Dim currentUser As MembershipUser = Membership.GetUser()         Dim currentUserId As Guid = CType(currentUser.ProviderUserKey, Guid)         errorLabel.Text = "Test"     End Sub    Protected Sub AsyncFileUpload1_UploadedComplete(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As AjaxControlToolkit.AsyncFileUploadEventArgs) Handles AsyncFileUpload1.UploadedComplete       errorLabel.Text = "Test"    End Suband... nothing. The background turns green, my throbber activates successfully.. but then, I get nothing. It doesnt even make it to the uploadedComplete event. I also did the same test in the error event.. and still nothing. Any ideas??

How to clear AsyncFileUpload if page revisited

Hello all,   just downloaded the latest Ajax toolkit and want to use AsyncFileUpload in my project. But the control keeps the path of previously uploaded file if page revisited again (in my case - a popup page). Is there any parameter can be set to clear the path box (it shows previous path in red). You know, the simple something like syncFileUpload.Clear() would of been nice! But it doesnt have it. Any work around? I tried to place it on page Init and set as New but didnt help.   Thanks in advance.   Nat

Create site template and adding subsite using site template is broken in sharepoint 2010

I am trying to create a site template base on an existing site and try to use the new site template to generate other sub-sites.  It sounds simple and the code is not that difficult to follow; however, Microsoft has made it impossible to accomplish by having a bug in their template creation process.   //Generate web template from existing website using (SPSite site = new SPSite("http://localhost")) { SPWeb web = site.OpenWeb("/barrington/accounting"); web.SaveAsTemplate("NewDepartmentTemplate", "NewDepartmentTemplate", "NewDepartmentTemplate", true); }   //Generate sub site using the new template using (SPSite site = new SPSite("http://localhost")) { SPWeb web = site.OpenWeb("/barrington/accounting"); SPWebTemplate tp = null; foreach (SPWebTemplate wt in web.GetAvailableWebTemplates((uint)1033)) { if (wt.Title == "NewDepartmentTemplate") { tp = wt; break; } } if (tp != null) { SPWeb newWeb = web.Webs.Add("NewDepartment", "NewDepartment", "NewDepartment", (uint)1033, tp, false, false); } } Error: Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException was unhandled   Message=The content type name '$Resources:_FeatureId367b94a9-4a15-42ba-b4a2-32420363e018,DataSourceContentTypeName;' cannot contain: \  / : * ? SharePoint 2010 Claims Based Authenticaton site working but search is broken

Hi, I have SP 2010 sucessfully installed on a Windows 2008 R2 server with SQL Server 2008 R2.  I created local machine accounts for the following: MACHINE\mssqlservice MACHINE\sp_admin MACHINE\sp_search MACHINE\sp_farms I have setup 2 sites with public facing internet access as well as local sites. I have CBA working properly on both sites from both public and private access. My problem is that when I go to search, I am constantly redirected to an error page. I have checked all SP services on the server and they are all running as MACHINE\mssqlservice That account has proper access to all sites as well as all DB's. My search is crawling and I get one error from a long named PDF file in my site, which is OK.   My questions is if my CBA is working fine and my search is crawling, why I am not getting a results page when I search from the sites:   Here is the error I get:   Error Internal server error exception:   Troubleshoot issues with Microsoft SharePoint Foundation. Correlation ID: 5a03b730-42c2-48c9-a220-3b9d052481de Date and Time: 9/9/2010 4:45:07 PM   I am kind of stuck at this point and am not sure how to proceed.  Any help would be appreciated.        --TR
